I cant seem to make the mod work. I have tried both MCT and non-MCT versions.

Okay, I don't know how it's happened, but it's working now. When I said that Zhatan is still here, I guess it shows him on your Diplomacy list even if you are no where near him.

Guess the good news is that the mod is working! Sorry for the false alarm.

Weird... now N'Kari has swapped properly, but Zhatan is still here. I don't know what's going on. The mod seems to be working somewhat. I wonder if I should run a game with all the options in MCT unchecked, then run another game with them checked?

I actually tested twice. The first was by accident: I was starting a new Miao Ying game yesterday because of the new patch, and noticed that none of the Slaaneshi factions were switching out positions with the non-Slaaneshi ones (i.e. Zhatan and Snikch were still there, instead of Malagor and N'Kar).

Since I noticed this, I double-checked that I had this mod enabled. Not only that, but I had MCT enabled and the options for this mod were in fact popping up. They were also already checked on.

I can test again by turning MCT off, but this mod was working for me a couple weeks ago, with MCT enabled. Since the newest patch just came out, I assume that was what was causing issues, but I also installed some new mods as well. I did not think any of them had any compatibility issues, but I'll test it in a bit and get back to you if I can find out the issue.

I just did a test both with and without MCT and all 5 start position swaps were in effect. Can you explain how you tested and what issue you experienced?

I can confirm that this mod does not work as of the most recent patch. It's a shame too, this mod is great!

If current update doesn't fix the issue (affecting a small # of people) then check Lazy's discord for the old non-MCT version.

looks like the swap doesn't happen, i tried without the landmark mod but still doesn't work

Try using the new version of the Landmark mod just posted today to the forbidden modding website. That version fixed some script conflicts that were hard to pin down. I wasn't able to replicate your issue in my own testing.

Hi,I have discovered a problem.This mod conflicts with 'corrupted_landmarks_added_sample'. When I start the landmark mod, there will be no swapping. I tried to adjust the order of these two mods and conducted multiple tests, but the situation did not change. May I ask if there is any solution?

That was an error, I uploaded a fix shortly after. If it happens again try to unsubscribe and resubscribe. When I was converting all the swaps to MCT options, I accidentally configured the functions to run every time the campaign was loaded.

I play this mod with MCT and swaps work well, but when i occupied N'kari's region (mountain area inside of cathay), few turns after the town & cities goes back to N'kari. is this error? or intend?

I've moved most of the "buffs" that this mod gave out and updated the description. This is closer to a vanilla startpos swap now, with the opposition buffs transferred over to my other mod, which has the campaign balance focus.

I added a lot of that stuff when the 2.0 AI was passive as heck and too scared to attack the bastion without overwhelming force. It definitely isn't now.

Thanks for fast reply, I have spent almost 3 hours going through my 200 mods and found the culprit, it was "Savage Hunters: The Tribe of the Wolf" that caused this mod to not work properly.

It's working fine for me both with and without other mods. Can you try disabling other mods and launching a new campaign as one of the lords to see if you are swapped?

Hi, does the mod work for you guys? I have tried placing the mod on the highest and lowest load order and its not working, all factions are still in their same position.

Update to Mod, added two additional replacements:
Morathi replaces Lokhir Fellheart
Malagor replaces Zhatan the Black

the mod will now take effect no matter who you play (if enabled)

moved some of the faction specific balance buffs to my other mod, which was designed more for creating a challenging campaign. (bonus starting treasury, bonus Slaanesh and WoC diplomatic affinity).

Tried out this mod and recommend NOT using it in combination with other aggressive AI mods. As the Slaaneshi factions get fully ranked chosen warrior armies with RoRs which causes them to spiral out of control if they are offensive. Very Hard/Hard play through.

Mod has been updated to work with the new version of MCT. Description changed to reflect that you must be playing one of the 4 factions for the swaps to take effect. Thanks woof for pointing out the issue, and hope you don't mind making your local changes again.

That's by design, the swaps only occur if you play Northern Provinces or one of the three Slaanesh. This was intended so you could just leave the mod enabled when not playing one of those 4 campaigns without it changing your other campaigns. It's also an artifact of how the contextual buffs for extra starting territory/units/treasury only boost the opposing factions.

I just tested as N'kari and Sigvald and it works when you play Slaaneshi factions.

However, testing as Belakor, it does not work when you play as a different faction, for some reason. I simply went north to check on Sigvald, and he's still there.

I checked that mod and none of the database edits or scripts should have conflicted, so I installed it and booted up a Nkari campaign. They seem to still work together. Glad you issue is fixed, but there might have been another cause, and you should still be able to use those two mods together.

N'Kari also starts with ownership of the territory Archaon starts in (just north of Sigvald's new start) which in testing has been very safe for him, so you can wipe him out from Cathay and he will persist beyond the bastion. N'Kari has Snikch's start because Azazel and Sigvald need a Dark Fortress start.

how about move N'Kari out of Great bastion? there's more thing with N'Kari in.... the mod you know, so sometime i want to keep N'Kari alive. If N'Kari in cathay it will be more thorny

@Violen Vaymire I get significant campaign frame drops there as well. It's because of the high Slaanesh corruption and the intense fog particles it generates in Cathayan regions. If you start to retake that territory and reduce the corruption you'll see campaign frames improve. So im getting a 40 frame decrease with the Nakari start.
I have been playing this game for a while, I Get 60-80 frames on the campaign map normally(3060ti)
I have some mods that add units and change Narkari, While they cause no frame drops by them selves, Maybe there conflicting with your changes in some way?
As it stands, unplayable for me.

Yeah it was a mode issue. Also, i think shuffling Azazel somewhere else and adding a full on Slaaneshi demon faction there serves better. I mean Azzy dosent trigger Miao's corruption events and this mod clearly serves some... purposes.
