It should work out well too, since thrusters can be upgraded, which means I don't have to go rooting around for more thruster placement
The compartment wall between the bridge and the life support room has been reinforced. (Thanks Sandokhan for the suggestion)
Also replaced some of the clutter in front of the initial core's location with combat steel blocks, to provide an extra barrier. Further reinforced the blocks in any direction radiating out from the initial core's location. For those who prefer not to move the core, and rather keep a forward location, this should be a noticeable resistance increase to being cored.
Cut down on the block clutter for the "faux device" placeholder for the Shield Arrays above the hangar. Now should be less of a hassle removing so many blocks to place the devices.
Corrected the missing blocks at the forward wing expansion section, of the starboard side wing (Thanks Nektraal).
As for placement inside the wing, it will work for the standard turrets, for forward firepower. Just keep in mind that the deeper you place them, the less of a forward depression/elevation those interior turrets will have. Start your placements from the center out, as closer to the centerline impacts roll less.
Cheers
If I put some of those turrets in the wings inside the slots you provided, will they still have LOS to their targets?
Love this ship. Easy to fight from the combat bridge. I park a mining SV on top. And it looks so cool.
I however have one concern: If the shield is depleted the windows in the bridge will be destroyed asap. Right after that your core will be destroyed. That's because it is placed at the same line/level as the bridge and its exposed.
These windows can be replaced by a double row combat steel blocks and given a glowing, orange, texture for example. Finding a better place for your core will not be that hard either.
I understand a lot of Empyrion players are active in STO as well :)
Honestly: 10 of 10. go on building great ships.
