@Orthranus you should also add the norse dwarf mod as depency btw but I don't know what the packfile is called so you would need to look it up

@Orthranus since this this seems to be an entire custom faction with a complete roster the easiest way to achieve baseline compatibility would be to create carbon copies of the upgrades that require technologies they don't have access to and link them to the modded units. This should be possible using the unit_purchasable_effects_tables and unit_purchasable_effect_sets_tables only. When you got rpfm running and created a new packfile, use the depencies manager to add my DD_dwf_runes.pack and generate the dependency cache so the keys to the upgrades are known to the program without having to copy-paste them into your submod

That sorta sounds like something I could learn to do, however the mod I was looking at, the Norse Dwarves by Cataph has a different technology tree entirely meaning that unless units reach a certain rank only the baseline runes are available. That I have no idea where to begin.

@Orthranus I'm sorry that I misread your question. Adding upgrades to units from other mods is very easy when you are familiar with rusted packfile manager. Check the submod section and the description and especially Apex' compilation to see which unit mods are already covered. Adding it to allied units is not so easy for upgrades that use pooled resources since the costs stay the same. In case of this specific mod no non-dwarf faction would have access to oathgold and therefore wouldn't be able to buy a single upgrade.

@Orthranus I tried this once in warhammer 2 and it worked back then, but the unit will lose all upgrades every time the current mount is changed. This happens because the game will internally just swap out the unit with the corresponding mounted variant. So in case of a lord with a 3 mount progression he would lose all upgrades at least 3 times and everytime afterwards when manually changing mounts. I didn't test it at all in game 3 but have no reason to expect different behaviour

@Termineator check out the SFO Grimhammer submod and Apex' submod compilation for any modded units. The base mod will always be for CA Basegame and DLC units only

@mman check the bottom of the army panel for the new button. There won't be an upgrade button on the unit card click-menu. The issue Rogueservitor mentioned was before the mod update

same issue as Rogueservitor ui issue where the the arrow to choose runes appears but not the pop up window itself? just get like a small brown square have unsubscribed and resubscribed to check running update

@Le Robbe hi, you can use the scrap ui fix from BAGHolder. I put a link to it on top of the description. It's not a perfect solution but the only one I know of so far. I marked it as a requirement for all my unit upgrade mods for the time being

Question - Can units carry more than one Rune? I seem to have the option to do this but only one icon shows. Am I missing something?

Thanks again for you guys reply my question. I think I found a method, that use a mod change the layout of UI, then the slidebar come back...

Maybe some mod overwrite the UI setting...

@3D.Hins you won't find anything regarding to the panel height in this mod as it uses the base game panel and only adds a scrollbar with a method explained by rhox in the modding den. Can you try starting a new campaign a new campaign just so see if it works there?

Yeah normally it happens only in MP campaigns and whi8le it is open you open it up again with the same unit, that normally fixes it for me.
Keep in mind: you open it on unit X and it does not show the slide bar, you do not close it, you just open it again on the same unit, while it is still open, that normally fixes it for me!

@3D.Hins try opening the upgrade panel again. It will eventually work. I sometimes experienced this too but only in multiplayer campaigns

@Gecko 2.6 warriors of chaos most likely not because units will lose all upgrades when using the warband system. I will probably do monogod factions though but I can't make any predictions on when that will happen

Hey Dirty Dan, I wanted to say: Big fan of your work. Your Upgrade-Mods are great and part of every play since I discovered your mods a few weeks ago!

Can I ask you, if you are planning to add Chaos Warriors and Chaos Demon Upgrades, too? I mean after the dark elves, you are working on, if I read right, that you are working on them.
My friends and I would really love having the other Chaos factions upgradeable! <3

Hey,
it appers that i have to research certain technologies before i can buy some upgrades - I dont remember this the last time I played Dawi before Thrones of Decay...Is this a new feature, was it always there or did your mod maybe conflict with something from my loadorder (I checked this, but maybe i checked not good enough)
