Not updated for a year... well, I guess it still works. As for chorfs melting regular dwarfs, that's lore friendly, when a specific race is tainted by chaos, they are going to win a hypothetical 1v1 against the "clean" version all the time (hence why I think both chorfs and dwarfs should have shield wall and testudo)

Id just buff them overall, since atm Chaos Dwarfs absolutely melt Dwarfs.

But maybe consider changing the effect from stances to oathstones? Read about the last stand of that one dwarfen prince during the great war of the beard and the concept is epic (like that one of beleger)

Maybe add some physical resistance combined with more melee defences. This can may be at the cost of melee attack, which can be reduced with each rank higher. (For example: Dwarf warrior -10, Iran breaker -5 or 0)

For those interested, since Dwarfs will be getting silver shields with the Chorf DLC, I will probably rework this mod to provide different bonuses other than missile deflection. As of yet, I'm not really sure what they'll be, but I do appreciate the suggestions.

@Agraza I feel like charge reflect fits on the Ironbreakers, but not on everyone else.

cool concept, but agree with some that ranged should have less shield and reflection doesn't fit.

perhaps if you worked with the dwarf polearm mod to give that to those?

could they give a tiny leadership radius after 10 seconds? basically only big enough to affect the unit directly adjacent to them? then when they line up they all get a little <3 until the wall fails or moves.

Can you make a varient of this mod that only affects the melee units? having silver shields on ranged units is pretty OP.

I do think it is a bit odd for dwarfen infantry to get charge reflection, which is typically on long polearm wielding infantry to simulate people running into said polearm's pointy end.

Perhaps consider swapping it for expert charge defence, which would allow dawi infantry to take an otherwise devastating charge far better than most factions' infantry?

I like the stationary stat bonus idea, thought of the dwarfs when I first played Cathay.

what is instead of charge reflect maybe male a reflect on the dwarf Warriors they just get a measly 5 long beards 10 Ibreakers 15 because apparently charge reflect is not what I thought it is it's a pound it just double the amount of damage to attack at the has charged and actually to get the full effect the target itself meets the charge which breaks the ability since they lose that shot reflection and silver shield

I've definitely been thinking about alternative buffs for the shield wall. Things like mass increase are for sure on the list. When it comes to ranged units getting it, it's sort of experimental. At first, I wanted them to have it on the condition they were toggled for melee only, but there's no deactivation flag for that (that I know of) and CA doesn't let you inject code, so I couldn't do it myself. Because of that, I'll probably take it away from ranged units again since it does make them so damn powerful.

I know my name is going to be in the book of grudges by saying this but I feel like it's making the dwarves too strong in certain aspects I like the idea of having some passive that activates after a certain amount of time I like the charge reflect since it makes sense that dwarf are very good at holding the Shield wall the missile resistance shield is just too much and maybe instead of giving them two different things maybe make it like dwarf Warriors have chart reflect long beards have the silver shield but the ironbreakers may be instead of increasing the arrow resistance since they are already very good at holding the line as there are increasing the mass so it's harder for cavalry and monstrous units to go through them as some people and the AI do which is always frustrating since the Shield wall is what's protecting your other stuff it's an idea and I definitely also think it's two of a power to give silver shield to the dwarf Archers and thunderous

It should still work. Many mods on the workshop for this game do not actually require an update when the game is patched since all mods are considered out of date when a patch is pushed. All I have to do is click a button that "updates" the mod (even though I don't need to change anything to make it compatible with the latest patch, it's just a formality for the workshop). I'm just lazy and haven't gotten around to it.
