-Removed unit support for Silverin Guard, this change was necessary to guarantee compatibility with Asur Cosmetics.

Hope you can add some edgy hair for the dark elves
zerg93  [author] 16 Sep, 2023 @ 2:58am
They don't get covered by this mod because their models are based on Sea Guards models.
Since this particular unit has just a few entities you are probably just getting the variants without vanilla hair.
Try to load a full stack in custom battle and you'll get at least a few models with the Sea Guard's vanilla hair.

Re zerg93 ! Thank you one more time for your awesome mod !

One more thing, balistas servants don't get long hair ? Is it possible to add it to them ? :)
Apollodoros de Nyx 9 Sep, 2023 @ 4:47pm
Thank you :steamhappy:

@Athréos Mylae Sure thing!
You have my permission.
Apollodoros de Nyx 9 Sep, 2023 @ 10:38am
Good evening, thank you for your work. Small comment to ask you if I can use your mod in a reskin for the High Elves (yes again ^^)
Of course you will be credited with a link to your mod.
Thank you very much in advance.
sirmicou85 25 Apr, 2023 @ 10:54pm
Yes, no problem ! We will say Sea Guards prefer to be bold haha :D
zerg93  [author] 25 Apr, 2023 @ 12:27pm
Should be possible by isolating the variants with hair and disabling the ones without hair in the variantmeshdefinition files but then again that would probably mess up things with other reskin mods, people would probably complain about me disabling core vanilla variants and/or people would probably complain about the Sea Guards having just a single hair variant while this mod offers 5.
So yeah, that's another no from me.
sirmicou85 25 Apr, 2023 @ 4:22am
Aah ok for all those explanations thank you ! Even if it's a pity for the Sea Guards to do not get their long hair, I have to admit. Is it possible to make vanilla head variants then ? Instead of 1 model, using the same helmet with several heads/hair ? Even if I guess your answer is no... x)
zerg93  [author] 17 Apr, 2023 @ 12:39pm
I have no idea of what other mods you are running but if by any chance you have Asur Cosmetics, then consider getting Asur Hair Variants X Asur Cosmetics instead of this mod.
That specific version has custom Lothern Sea Guards with my custom hair models and other minor stuff that is exclusive to that version.
Didn't check that version in a while though but everything should still work as intended (that is unless Nimue made some substantial graphical changes while I was away).
zerg93  [author] 17 Apr, 2023 @ 12:18pm
And if you are wondering about why the Lothern Sea Guards are not touched by this mod, the reason is quite simple really: this mods adds 5 custom hair models on top of pre-existing vanilla models.
By adding said hair models to the Lothern Sea Guards head models you would end up getting random model combinations with my custom hair variant clipping onto the pre-existing head models with vanilla hair.
The only "solution" in this case would be to replace the vanilla Lothern Sea Guard vanilla heads with custom heads with my custom hair attached to them, but that goes beyond the scope of this mod and would probably break compatibility with other reskin mods even more than now.
zerg93  [author] 17 Apr, 2023 @ 11:57am
That is not an issue concerning this mod.
Lothern Sea Guards are not touched by this mod in any way, hence why they are still showing their vanilla appearance, otherwise I would have added them to the affected units summary in the mod's description, so there is nothing to "fix" there.
sirmicou85 17 Apr, 2023 @ 6:18am
Hi @zerg93 hope you will get a new healthy PC. I have to report only one issue : some of the Lothern Sea Guards still don't have hair (only few of them). Could you fix this if you are able to update it soon ? :)
zerg93  [author] 14 Apr, 2023 @ 1:56pm
I'm unable to update any of my mods at the moment since my PC is currently dead.
This one is purely graphical though so it should work fine even without updates.
GoatScream 14 Apr, 2023 @ 10:37am
Update?
sirmicou85 21 Feb, 2023 @ 7:31am
Yeah I tried with the WH3 Mod Manager, but it doesn't fix this for the spearmen. It's curious it only concerns this unit, while the RoR spearmen and all other units are ok.
zerg93  [author] 21 Feb, 2023 @ 3:27am
Try to put this mod above Hooveric reskin in the mod launcher load order then.
It might be just a simple problem of Hooveric mod overwriting some of the values of my mod.
sirmicou85 21 Feb, 2023 @ 3:20am
Aaaah okay yes indeed sorry, was thinking you were the same person haha
Arf, it's a real pity, because many people use Hooveric mod too. Hope it will be possible one day !
(Ah and I precise only normal spearmen don't get their hair, other units does (even ROR spearmen), so maybe it's not too hard to fix ?)
zerg93  [author] 20 Feb, 2023 @ 9:38am
I guess that you are making confusion with Adopotato's High Elves Hair mod from Warhammer 2: this mod is not a port of said mod and as such doesn't work in the same way as that mod did.
Anyway, sorry but I generally don't use big reskin mods like Hooveric's and I'm not interested in making any type of content for it.
Submods for my mods are always more than welcome so any Hooveric's submodder is more than welcome to make a compatibility submod for this mod.
sirmicou85 20 Feb, 2023 @ 9:21am
Hello @zerg93 ! Can you make your mod compatible "Hooveric Reskin" ? I remember they were compatible in WH2. :)

Finally I always use this mod from WH2 of somebody, now somebody remake it, sweet.

As far as I know their hair are generally portrayed as black or silver/white aside from Hellebron and the Witch Elves who have somewhat pinkish shades (they could be dyed though).
I wouldn't discard dark brown out of the realm of possibilities though.
Benk 19 Sep, 2022 @ 5:17am
Yeah an unwilling high elf bound by Malekith like Felicion would make sense and she could have natural blonde hair, Telerian didn't know the real squire of Tyrion it seem anyway, so even if she didn't really looked like the real one he would not know i guess.
On the other side do you think some dark elves have brown hair etc or it is aways black/white?
zerg93  [author] 19 Sep, 2022 @ 4:57am
That depends.
The "real" Galifreius was (she's probably dead as well) a High Elf.
The "fake" Galifreius was a Dark Elves' sleeper agent working for either Malekith or Morathi.
Which possibly means:
A) The fake Galifreius was either a willing OR unwilling High Elf traitor
B) The fake Galifreius was a Dark Elf in disguise which is hard but not impossible.
In this case she could have had white/silver hair that were later dyed to make them look like blonde.
I'm more inclined towards "option A unwilling" and Arsenic's reply in this thread makes sense to me https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/204140/epilogue-spoilers .
Benk 19 Sep, 2022 @ 3:36am
Speaking of dark elves, i wonder what was Galifreius original hair color, as we learn that she was a dark elf in the end.
Molag Bal 18 Sep, 2022 @ 5:14pm
Great! Silver, black and white hair sound good. There's no rush to, man whenever you're available to do it. Thx again :chug::47_thumb_up:
zerg93  [author] 18 Sep, 2022 @ 4:50pm
I would like to do that!
No exact ETA on when though.
I'll also have to decide which colour variants I'm going to use for the Druchii.
I think I'll go for black, silver and white but I'm unsure about the last two variants (the game usually doesn't accept more than five variants).
Molag Bal 18 Sep, 2022 @ 4:41pm
Thank you for this mod, it s very nice. Do you consider making this mod in Druchii?
zerg93  [author] 18 Sep, 2022 @ 3:26am
Oh and yeah, I have been using asset editor since Warhammer 2.
I had to resize and move a little certain hairstyles to fit better.
I tried to reduce clipping when possible but still get some anyway, I also tried with the pin tool but the clipping Is still there.
There Is space for a few other hairstyles but they are not planned for now.
zerg93  [author] 18 Sep, 2022 @ 3:01am
Sure thing Ado!
I'll also link yours!
Cheers!
Adopotato 17 Sep, 2022 @ 6:56pm
@Mortarch could be your settings, Unit detail effects the amount of variants you'll see in your units. Sweet mod zerg, no need to credit me man as you've obviously done the work yourself. used the asset editor yet? could be a useful tool for adding model variations and also fixing the clipping issues. If i upload my version it'll be blonde only and ill have a link to this mod for people that prefer more colours if thats okay with you :)
Surristrasz 17 Sep, 2022 @ 11:58am
Teclis has dark hair, as does Alith Anar.
Though lighter shades tend to be more common.
zerg93  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 11:40am
As far as I know High Elves are generally portrayed as blonde.
This mod features 5 colour variants:
-Three shades of blonde
-One shade of silver/grey
-A light brown shade
I can take one of the blonde variants and change It to something else with an update but again: I'm not exactly spoiled for choices here.
So that would probably be just going to be a darker shade of brown like Alith Anar's hair.
zerg93  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 11:17am
I generally don't use big reskin mods like Hooveric's but if I had to take a wild guess, I would be inclined to say no.
You can try and see how it goes though (graphic only mods are safe to test and you can unsub anytime without any issues really) but if Hooveric's reskin is not texture-only and also alters in any way the units' variantmeshdefinition files than they will most likely overwrite each other.
Ciaphas Cain 17 Sep, 2022 @ 11:13am
All I can see is blonde
Benk 17 Sep, 2022 @ 11:00am
Do you know if it works fine with Hooveric reskin? Thanks.
