Thanks Hel Thea. My friend ran another mod that changes all the research trees and it fixed the problem in that mod, and it works with this mod fine.

@Nero Vipus I only ever touched warriors of chaos with this mod, and didn’t touch exalted plaguebearers. it’s possible the game has updated the tables and the mod has to be updated but I have not had my life in a place where I feel like I can mod for a while.

Exalted Plaguebearers of nurgle are showing require technology:Deep Cleansing. There is no such tech on the tree. Playing as Plague father. Festus tech tree was missing it back in 2022 but my game is fully patched. So why is Ku'gath messed up.

@Solaire, I did briefly test this on 3.0 and it still functions. However the new units from the forge of the chaos dwarfs (and the flc hero) will not have their names, bullet points, or descriptions on the unit cards until I update this. I've been away from modding for a bit due to real life but will try to update it fairly soon.

I love the mod but I'm running into a conflict between it and Expanded Chaos Upgrade. What warband upgrade mods do you use?

Really like the concept, but to me the stats of the 4 variants look quite unbalanced, both between the variants themselves, as well as their gods respective Chosen unit. Some of the roster units
stats they were probably based on were changed in the meantine. What I noticed the most are:
-Hellscourge Aspiring Champions deal flat 0 armor pen damage while Chosen Hellscourges nowadays have 17% of their damage weapon strength dealt as armor pen damage. Some of their stats are improved compared to the Chosen unit, but the 20 less MD don't make sense, if both are fielding the same weapons are designed for a defensive/harasser kind of role.

-Tzeentch Aspiring Champions have very underwhelming stats. Most of their stats are noticeably worse than their Chosen counterpart, for example. Tzeentch Chosen MD is higher by 16, have a higher armor pen damage ratio and for some reason Tzeentch Aspiring Champions got worse armor than even chaos warriors. Also their Anti-Large bonus is basicly the same as the Tzeentch Chosen ones, but that unit has 5x the model count and half of their weapon strength, which makes the anti-large a lot more impactful on the Chosen unit.

Would be nice if the Aspiring Champions could be equalized more. I will give them a try in a fresh run for which I probably gonna pick Azazel. Ingame buffs and research for them might help, but currently the khorne variant is vastly superior, the nurgle variant is on par and the tzeentch and slanesh variants are quite inferior to their respective chosen units. Is it possible to remove the buffs they get from the tech tree from the rival gods? It's kind of bothering me to see Slaanesh buffs on Khorne Aspiring Champions etc :')
I would do it myself but I'm not sure what I should change to work around this

For unit cards I'd recommend you r1kko for some, I know he can be very generous when it comes to this. Otherwise you can grab already existing cards and edit them.

@Mad Larkin i can try to squeeze the chosen to champion upgrade in next time i update the mod. I'm a bit behind on my mod progress atm between the recent hurricane, getting COVID, and working 7 days a week

I feel like some of these are a bit OP. The Tzeentch ones have more barrier than the RoR Tzeentch Champions. And unbreakable is a bit much.

Any chance you can make it so marked chosen can become marked champions? As it is I feel somewhat punished for running theme armies early.

For the models you could always ask other mod makers for permission to use their model, as I have seen some out there in the workshop. For the unit card what you said would work.

@Dragamm Good to hear you enjoy the mod. I have thought about putting a colored filter over the cards as a temporary fix just to identify them. As for the custom models, i have no experience in that field so it may be a minute. Making my own models and potentially animations is something i'd like to do in the near future though.

@AsyxA i used the base champions as a frame work. Base stats may be similar but the units have different abilities and passives that give them a boost.

Hey fantastic mod! Really like how you differentiated them stat wise and gave them all unique auras! I have been waiting a long time for a mod like this. Some feedback: I know custom unit cards are not by any means easy to make, however, even coloring the unit cards like blue, red, green would help differentiate them as at times its hard with their current unit card to separate them from undivided aspiring champions. Also any way you could make them a little different looking then their lord/hero inspiration would be nice, I love the look and wouldnt want anything drastic done to them but at times they look the exact same as their hero/lord counterparts, any differences even small ones would help them feel a little more unique in their respective roster (hopefully monogod at some point :D). Overall great work!

Sounds very interesting to get some more flavor into the armies. So, apart from the benefits/drawbacks that come with the mark, the stats are identical to the regular aspiring champions?

@GoatScream currently they’re just implemented through warband upgrades using the marks. What I can do later in the week when I have time is see about adding them to a building for the monogods, their recruitment is a bit more simple to add to.
