I am disappointed I missed this god before the author moved on

I had the same bug with Eternal Cities blowing up a few turns, if not immediately, after they are made
anothrgamer1234 10 May, 2024 @ 2:36pm
Will this be updated to be compatible with The Horrors Beneath?
crawlers 16 Feb, 2024 @ 9:44am
Immortal rulers surviving the destruction of their home town can get shadow ratings over 100% which can distort some motivations for actions.
crawlers 16 Feb, 2024 @ 9:39am
Eternal cities also generate unrest within themselves due to the cursed immortality trait, which is odd considering there is only one person living there.
crawlers 16 Feb, 2024 @ 9:37am
Deep ones can drink from the grail and become immortal. It seems they cannot become doom knights though. Not sure if WAD.
crawlers 5 Feb, 2024 @ 5:08pm
I noticed the eternal city thing takes time to happen - they do not immediately collapse after going to 0 habitability, but some turns later they do so.

I'll fix the Crest of the Phoenix thing when I can get to it but I can't replicate the eternal cities bug
crawlers 28 Jan, 2024 @ 2:43pm
Eternal cities are blowing themselves up again with 0 habitability.
crawlers 26 Jan, 2024 @ 8:15am
Rest nor recourse says it sets danger of resupply to 12, but it actually sets it to 100.
crawlers 26 Jan, 2024 @ 6:48am
Crest of the phoenix says it has the stat bonus go up by 1 each time, but after reviving quite a few times, it seems to only give +3, with the initial bonus being +2. Somehow it isn't building up.
crawlers 3 Jan, 2024 @ 7:46pm
Last time I checked, using a power to pass a grail on cannot send it to an agent (but it can send it from one to someone else).
Morgan 3 Jan, 2024 @ 4:17pm
You also get a power later on to force someone to pass their grail on. Either works. You do need a hero to get a grail in the first place, though.
Onyxian 16 Dec, 2023 @ 7:41pm
how are you supposed top make your supplicant immortal to use the phoenix trait? have a hero grab a grail and rob them?
Typical_Name 28 Sep, 2023 @ 4:55pm
Based on the patch notes, the new version is indirectly a huge nerf to the King of Cups, as now the event that triggers at 300% unrest will also lower lingering resentment. I look forward to seeing how the mod adapts to this. :)
Mandu 25 Sep, 2023 @ 4:42pm
need update to 1.1
Izzyzzie 17 Aug, 2023 @ 1:07pm
any chance you could add a 'lay low' challenge (or equivalent) to the eternal cities? I've noticed that as more eternal cities crop up close to each other it can become difficult to get menace down on my agents, and considering that you can lay low in ancient ruins & orc fortresses it doesn't seem like it would be too unrealistic.
crawlers 16 Aug, 2023 @ 11:52am
Festering hatred making a new one is hopefully not a bug - that kind of thing happens in vanilla every time a noble uses one of the unrest suppressing options. I've seen 5-6 stacks of lingering unrest in intrigue 1 noble spots as unrest slowly spirals out of control.
Ortoblast 16 Aug, 2023 @ 6:09am
Bug: Trials and Tribulations can be used on location with existing modifier. It just adds another, same but different modifier to the location.
Also, Festering Hatred do not stack Lingering Resentment, and just adds another, new one to the location.
Jack_of_Diamonds 25 Jul, 2023 @ 1:55pm
On the god selection screen, it says "Ixthus´s mechanics revolve around...", it should be spelled Ixthus´, i´d assume that that´s a pretty easy fix
oh no  [author] 17 Jul, 2023 @ 12:07pm
For anyone wondering Ixthus is fully compatible with 1.0.
@What a save! Just tested things out to be sure, but things seem to be working as intended. Make sure the whisper has infiltration nearby and check hero motivations. They may just have more pressing matters to attend to than seeking grails.
/FYRE.IS/ 17 Jul, 2023 @ 1:19am
No grails are spawning and heroes aren't being lured by Whispers of Eternal Life.
Morcalvin 16 Jun, 2023 @ 12:20am
I'm getting a message saying this isn't compatible anymore?
Typical_Name 30 Apr, 2023 @ 10:10am
Oh, that makes significantly more sense, then. I was expecting the unrest to increase the modifier, and then the action would become available at 100%, or something like that.
oh no  [author] 30 Apr, 2023 @ 3:14am
Nothing, the real reason it's there is because it has to be. The game does not allow you to add ruler actions through items, the modifier needs to be there to get the ruler action working at all. It does help tracking down rulers with grails in the modifier finder though! As for the ruler action not appearing I can't seem to replicate it, it does take a turn or two for the game to add it to the ruler action pool so that might be why you're not seeing it.
Typical_Name 29 Apr, 2023 @ 10:48pm
I thought the temptation thingy was an indicator as to how likely they were to drink from the cup, since I couldn't find the action in their list of actions. What does the starting 25% mean, in that case?
oh no  [author] 29 Apr, 2023 @ 10:23pm
@Typical_Name Unrest doesn't increase the modifier itself rather the ruler becomes more likely to take the ruler action to drink the more unrest there is. Check the ruler actions to see how likely they are to drink at a given time.
Typical_Name 28 Apr, 2023 @ 8:58pm
I'm not sure if the "Grails Temptation" modifier is working - I have it placed in a city with very high unrest, but it's still not increasing. The "Rest nor Recourse" power doesn't seem to help with this either. :(
jotwebe 14 Apr, 2023 @ 2:54am
Great job! Small text thingy: Power description Rest Nor Recourse: "... and all it's neighbors..." should be "... and all its neighbors." (and "neighbours" for BE, maybe?)
crawlers 13 Apr, 2023 @ 3:24pm
Small text issue with inconsistent pronoun https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2961943132

I also noticed elven settlements cannot drink from the grail, but elven heroes can.
Jehovah's Thiccness 10 Mar, 2023 @ 1:08am
This is an incredibly cool and highly unique idea for an eldritch god and its curse. Not only that, but it's fun as hell to play! Great job.
oh no  [author] 9 Mar, 2023 @ 7:43pm
@Lailah This issue should be fixed now, thanks for reporting it!
crawlers 3 Mar, 2023 @ 8:20am
Yeah I noticed eternal cities were dying for some reason but I couldn't figure out why. Good to know it was due to habitability.
Lailah 3 Mar, 2023 @ 2:18am
Super fun guy. Small problem, arguably, but Eternal Cities can self immolate due to habitability.
Scrumptious! 17 Feb, 2023 @ 11:07pm
nevermind i found out how
crawlers 17 Feb, 2023 @ 10:22pm
Dead immortals give a modifier on the place they died, look at it for some more details. It charges up over time, heroes can seal them, and a challenge can unseal them and make them revive faster at the cost of power.
Scrumptious! 17 Feb, 2023 @ 10:19pm
do i need to do something else to make them revive?
Scrumptious! 17 Feb, 2023 @ 10:16pm
i had the harvester drink, its been a couple turns and he hasnt revived
El Yahpo 2 Feb, 2023 @ 10:07pm
Love the theme of this god! I did notice acolytes of holy orders (witches brothers sisters etc) don't have the option to quest for a holy grail. Is this intended?
Starshine 1 Feb, 2023 @ 8:10pm
This god is so much fun to play.
Thank you
Xeldren 1 Dec, 2022 @ 3:48pm
Gawain is able to benefit from Cursed immortality and give you a duplicate error when he auto-resurrects, when killed/runs out of time he has his regular body at a site and 2 duplicates.
A Dreamed Crown 1 Dec, 2022 @ 6:35am
I think that may just be it. I'll need to check. Thanks!
oh no  [author] 30 Nov, 2022 @ 2:30pm
@A Dreamed Crown, you may be referring to something else but if you're talking about the initial quest to go get a grail from the elder tomb the heroes hp has no effect on it by default it's based on surrounding shadow and if you've donated gold to fund the quest.

It sounds like some danger may have ended up on your questing location which would discourage low hp heroes from wanting to do your quests.
A Dreamed Crown 30 Nov, 2022 @ 6:41am
I think at some point something broke with the calculations for how health interacts with encouraging people to quest. For several sessions now, people being at lower health has made them LESS likely to go on the quest instead of more. It actively adds to the negative effect.

It could be I'm completely misreading something, perhaps, but between that and awareness, it's a real pain to get any heroes to actually interact with the mechanic--if not impossible. Am I missing something?
Kazeck 16 Nov, 2022 @ 7:34pm
Looks really awesome.
Funky Monk 10 Nov, 2022 @ 4:34pm
Yeah, that did it, thank you
oh no  [author] 10 Nov, 2022 @ 3:41pm
@Funky Monk, Sorry there was a bug recently that made it so embrace eternity wasn't working. I just tested it on my end but please let me know if it persists. Thanks!
Funky Monk 10 Nov, 2022 @ 3:16pm
Does Embrace Eternity not work? Or how does it work? I got a hero spamming it but nothing seems to happen.

Love the concept by the way, just can't figure out how heroes become Dread Knights.
Mr. Entropy 7 Nov, 2022 @ 5:14pm
Hello, its me again with another bug report.
If you start a new game after having played with Ixthus, the score from dread knights and eternal cities stays for every game after
Mr. Entropy 7 Nov, 2022 @ 4:25pm
Just found another oddity
Some turns ago i got a a Deep One Sanctum and the ruler became a Deep One with a grail in its inventory, they have been assisting a cult in a city and while checking what the ruler of this new city would do i realized they have the "To Eternal Life!" local action even though they dont have a grail or the coresponding trait. My guess is that the deep one still counts as a ruler and so the city counts as having a ruler with a grail, but when i try to use "Rest nor Recourse" it doesnt count.
Ps. I have Deep Ones Plus installed
