wonderful mod. but like other people say, stability is an issue. it crashes too often.

Hello, it looks an excellent mode, I tried to play as my cultural ancestry the Vascones and after 20 minutes of waiting the emrgent faction to rise it crashed, around year 417 AD

The game crashes every 5 turns at the end of the round. It's impossible to play properly. It's a shame because the mod is really cool.

Honestly, I think that the mod could stand to use some more unit uniqueness, as most of the factions have the same sort of units, which really feels pretty boring.

Hello Lyrecryer... I can go to the home page, choose my faction but when launching the game it is a failure. I checked the integrity of my files and I deleted and put back your mod several times..without success

I couldn't tell if this was intentional because the faction does seem unfinished but factions like the Slavs have access to horde units as trainable military which would be pretty broken considering these have free upkeep. I fully understand the mod is in development but I wanted to draw attention to the settlement names as far as their historicity is concerned. Dublin as an example could be more accurately named Eblana.

This looks very promising. I won't be playing for now as the factions I'd be interested in (Slavs and their surrounding neighbors) don't seem fully implemented but I wanted to leave some feedback on design choices I saw. The unified unit size would be pretty broken for any faction that has access to berserkers. A full unit of berserkers the same size as a warband is just insane honestly lol. They'd need to be tweaked as a unit, left at a smaller unit size or just taken out in my opinion. The starting area for the Slavs is questionable, historically they're not associated with having settled on the Baltic sea, they'd probably be better off placed a bit more to the South East of their current position and/or left as a horde in that general area considering the start date.

Dear Greek modder, cool if they are an emerging faction, as long as they are playable by the player as well. For the units roster i can help don't worry.

(Weren't the Bagaudae already represented by as the Western Roman rebels?)

@Aristoxenus, The Vascones are a bit premature for this start date, but I wouldn't be opposed to adding them in as an emergent faction, after Lyrecryer and I finish up work on the campaign map. There's already an issue with the British faction being independent 5 years before the province was actually abandoned, so I'd like to avoid adding more anachronistic factions if possible.

The initial reference to Vascon resistance to Germanic migrators comes from 407AD, but I don't think it would be accurate to characterize this instance (Vascon troops commanded by Romans) as an example of a mostly separate entity. Perhaps as an AOR specific unit for WRE to represent this. Again, I don't forsee any problems representing this shift from direct Roman rule to pseudo-vassalage sometime down the line as an emergent faction, after more key retooling is done.

I can also see the Bagaudae rebels of Southern Gaul and Hispania being represented as a separate horde faction eventually as well.

That makes Mundus Magnus for BI looks small.
Imagine the headache with Roman rebels.

Do you have intention of adding other factions? Can I propose the Vascones? They could start as a tributary of the Western Roman Empire (like in reality)
Their rosters could be limited but powerful, to reflect the fact that the Basques resisted germanic kingdoms like the Visigoths and Franks for centuries.

Roster idea (nothing complicated) :
-Berserkers (reskined)
-Golden Band (slightly reskined and renamed)
-Swordsmen (generic unit from vanilla, with a different name)
-levy warband
-archer warband (from vanilla)
Some weak cavalry except the Chieftain Warlord
-Slingers (with long range, not as the celtic slingers)

Great map and UI!! This is one of the best mods I've seen. But a little question, when I play the Western Roman Empire, all the legions form the same army, can you change the composition of the legions? With a few tweaks to the composition of each regional legion, and some weakening, the Western Empire is still too strong, although some towns will be lost at first, but it will soon be recaptured, and it may be able to weaken the Western Empire again and strengthen its enemies. I thought it would be more fun that way. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. Thanks for the excellent MOD!:steamthumbsup:

@Lyrecryer Oh yes I see. Otherwise why not make Massilia and Soissons playable, that could be good instead of the Roman rebels and they shouldn't crash in theory.

@Adrien di Carrara, the game can't let you play as the Roman rebels as they become the Roman Empires once the empires get destroyed. That makes the game auto game over you. There is rebel factions that do not have that and will be in the mod next update.

@Official Dregs, what faction made you crash?

Are you thinking of giving the factions their colors? The British-Roman counties have the skin of the Eastern Roman Empire.

If you are having CTD on campaign starts, delete map.rwm and see if that works.

This mod CTD's on campaign start every time, its the only active mod and my computer is easily powerful enough to run anything this game is capable of supporting.

I will say that the major asset of this mod which is probably this huge map with incredible potential for wars and alliances is also its biggest flaw. Because, what a bore after several dozen laps!! Cities and regions in industrial quantities fall without resistance, without armies, without reprisals, without surprises for the player. with only one Roman army I went from EBURUM to KYRGYZ CAMP with only the number of turns required as an obstacle...

The patch should be out now. No non-English Text for the new buildings so play with English atm. Translation tool is in the text folder if you want to do it yourself.

Dude this Mod Totally Satisfys that pillage the village itch ive been having most recently theres so many villages i cant burn enough of them ;) this mod is 10 out of 10 for me Rome Will Burn hahaha and if you could possibly add a few more villages that would be nice just sayin
