Would love an update :)

This looks really cool, I'm looking forward to V2 whenever you find time for it.
miliyx 20 Nov, 2023 @ 11:43am
Ohh that sounds great! I'll be patiently waiting

@miliyx I've been thinking about making a V2 of this mod with better textures and this is actually one of the things I'm looking into. By default when you paint something it changes the colour of the stuffable parts, but it might be possible to separate the stuffable and paintable parts. It'll need some testing. Will also mean I can do away with the new menu/category for it because there'll be only 4 walls in total. Two birds with one stone!

Idk when this new version will be out though to be honest.
miliyx 18 Nov, 2023 @ 10:41pm
Was wondering if you could make the walls paintable instead of having each color as an option

Check out Outland. It's the only mod I found that does it so far. Should be mandatory for mods tbh, vanilla menus become unusable with too many mods.

No need to apologise my friend!

I don't really know either but I will definitely keep in mind to look for it. If I find something, I'll let you know! Thanks for your mod, much appreciated, really!

Sorry all, I forgot I needed to look into that. Adding like 25 new walls to the structure category isn't an option so I need some sort of drop down menu. Does anyone have an example of a drop down menu within one a category? I don't know how to do it and I can't think of any off the top of my head...

They look nice, but did you really have to create a new tab in the architect menu just for these?
LS 1 Jan, 2023 @ 11:26am
Thanks. I second Fartsparkles, would be nice if there wasn't an extra category.
Gierfuchs 30 Nov, 2022 @ 5:18am
A very beatiful mod it is exactly what i was looking for. Although i would prefer a version without an extra category in the architect menu. A single wall in the structure category with a dropdown menu would be nice and slim.
Leovigild  [author] 21 Nov, 2022 @ 12:18am
@Delta1138 it probably could, I'm just not sure how to do that. I'll definitely look into it though. I can see how it would be quite a problem if you had a lot of mods installed that added categories =/
Delta1138 19 Nov, 2022 @ 11:03am
@Leovigild I did include this mod in my last game but was curious why does it need it's own category in the architect menu? Can it not be put into the structure category with the other walls with a drop down selection for each colour iteration similar to how chitin floors does it?
Leovigild  [author] 7 Nov, 2022 @ 11:08pm
@Rumblyy ah I forgot about that, I've still been playing on 1.3 cause I'm too lazy to start rebuilding my mod lists haha. I don't think there are any changes needed, but if anyone has any issues for whatever reason, do tell.
Rumblyy 7 Nov, 2022 @ 7:27pm
Please Update to 1.4. I would love to use these walls, they're beautiful!
Ben'wah 6 Nov, 2022 @ 1:43pm
@Trianqren do you have a collection for it set up? I had one set up that was for some cozy medieval gameplay set up but a lot of the mods i was using cant be used anymore since the update and im trying to rebuild
Trianqren 1 Oct, 2022 @ 6:03pm
Finally, with this mod my medieval fantasy modpack is complete!

Looks good, simple, as it should be. Thanks!

These looks great- about to start a new game and will give them a spin. Cheers bro!
ELF SLAYER 28 Sep, 2022 @ 9:31am
I like what I see
Leovigild  [author] 26 Sep, 2022 @ 5:49pm
@xQT Thank you! That's a good suggestion. I'll add some tags at the end so it shows up in searches.

Awesome mod, just a heads up if you want to increase traffic try including some mentions of "Tudor", "Mock Tudor", or something of the like.

I know Half-Timbering is the correct terminology, but (as far as the parts of the US I've been to) a good amount of people in the States only know this style as "Tudor Walls"
Leovigild  [author] 25 Sep, 2022 @ 6:45pm
@plaxen @latex santa @TurtleShroom Thank you all, glad to hear you like them!

As for those suggestions:
1. I didn't want to do stony cause it didn't make sense to build a frame from stone, but I'll absolutely patch those Rimefeller material types in.

2. Yeah, the beauty value might be a bit low. I was being conscious of balance, but compared to other mods' walls, mine is probably too low. Maybe I should put it up to 3 or so? I'll look into it.

3. Only the frames change colour. I tried making the whole wall change colour based on stuff, but I didn't like how it looked (which is why I added the different paint colours). If people really wanted I could maybe add a new one where the whole wall changes.

4. I don't think you can set insulation? I'm not sure.
plaxen 25 Sep, 2022 @ 1:43pm
This wall looks cozy and nice, Excellently Cute.
TurtleShroom 25 Sep, 2022 @ 9:57am
They are beautiful! You did an amazing job!

Might I suggest the following, if you please?

1. Extend support for the Stuff to Stony and, if you have the Rimefeller Mod, Plastic and Composite Stuff.

2. Consider increasing the Beauty, if possible.

3. Do the walls change color based on the Stuff you use? If not, please consider making that happen, at least for the non-dyed walls.

4. If there is an insulation value for walls, you should increase it.
Latex Santa 25 Sep, 2022 @ 12:52am
Like you said, perfect for a fantasy, no modern tech run.
Leovigild  [author] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 9:10pm
@NRFBToyStore Also, I'm glad to hear you like them. I typed that last post up in like two seconds cause I was trying to fix one of the textures quickly =/

Is the patch you're talking about on the workshop somewhere, or is it a custom thing you made? I can't seem to find it. I'll look in to patching the patch if it's on the workshop.
Leovigild  [author] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 7:54pm
@NRFBToyStore Hm, I hadn't thought of that honestly. It requires straw if you have Medieval Overhaul installed. I imagine it will still require straw, even if it's not available anymore?

As a "quick and dirty" fix you can delete the patches folder in the mod and it'll go back to using hay. I might look into it.
NRFBToyStore 24 Sep, 2022 @ 7:49pm
These look awesome. I'm playing a Medieval game now, thou, I think I have a patch that makes straw->hay. Is STRAW required or will it know I have that patch installed?
