Updated for 6.2.2. No model rework. The Asset Editor tool is not working for me anymore. Updated with no changes.

The mod works and looks fine in my game currently! It shows as out of date in the launcher, but everything I checked for worked (recruiting for campaign, gunnery school upgrades, fighting in battles) without an issue.

What's needed for the update ? I've seen in RPFM that there is a "Meta file path file not found" warning for animations and an error for a possibly outdated table in battle_vortexs_tables. I don't know anything about animation and 3D but I can probably help for the rest

Yeah, I'll get this updated. I was mostly done with a rework of the design, to use better and less performance demanding assets, and lost it all. I'll get the file updated and try to summon the desire to redo that rework

The master Engineer Skill says it increases the cap at level 25. (Steam Desciption says 40) If that stayed and the Mount option was 35, that seems like a good testing balance of patience.

My thinking is let him increase the cap at a much lower level than he'd get it as a mount. So it would be both a cool mount and a fun exercise in high time preference.

For those paying attention here. I have an idea I'd like feedback on. What if Master Engineer lords had skills for getting the Iron Colossus as a mount and another for increasing the unit cap, but each option locks the other when selected.

@DocHolliday Thank for the notice on the ability not working. I'll get that patched so the ability works. ToD came with some new attribute options that will work better for that flag than the "Construct" so the ability in GOTE will also get a rework.

@StarvedGarden I would not want to take on stewardship of another's mod. I've got OC my own I haven't published yet with so much needing regular patches.

Thats awesome, I would love to see that! Thank you for the advice btw that has made it far more lethal. Also I notice this isn't classified as a construct, I don't know much about the unit classifications for this game but the engineers in the "guns of the empire" mod can only repair constructs. If there is a reason for it not being one I understand, but if you would consider whenever you have time making it a construct that would be pretty cool for longer siege battles that way it could return to the fight if heavily damaged.

@Lucius the CTDs with patch 5.2 should be fixed, yes.

@Oscar if it's even possible with this guy, it would be in main_units and land_units tables. Probably number of men and number of engines values.

@DocHolliday I would like to do a remodel with some lower resource intensive assets (and even custom assets since I just learned how to do that) and would consider a Master Engineer mount with that patch.

Since I started modding WH2, I've heard often how broken OP my stuff is, so I'm very wary about ever buffing anything. The use case for this guy should be out in front of lines but not very far, so your other ranged can shoot into enemy crowds around hia feet.

I take it back It's not under powered it just needs support, with steam tanks in front of this they make a deadly combo! but this as a mount for the master engineer would be awesome if you would would consider it.

CA broke. Swappable projectiles when the alternative projectile has explosions. Last night I think I finally found a work around. I'll look at this guy today to see if the workaround can also work for him.

The "frozen lookout" thing is what the old Imperial Academy building chains gets recognized as after ToD. If you're seeing that it means you have something overwriting the main unit table for the Colossus (either the main mod didn't update or you have a submod that's out of date). There is no such building as that.
