Now I can't stop playing without these sprites, and even if a lot of "gore" or skeleton elements were removed, the censorship doesn't really feel so forced

Wait, that Chinese Eye Of Cthulhu looks way better than the chinese one shown in the terraria wiki, that one has a more smooth skin while this one looks more rocky, like a geode.

Really impressive for a sprite honestly, I know the international version has these old sprites cus of Red's nostalgia for his old sprites and I get it, but man I wish he would let them get an upgrade.

There's something to be said about art through adversity. While China has overly puritanical views on showing blood or graphic violence in its media, the work done to resprite these so as to avoid that did lead to some really interesting — and frankly beautiful — redesigns. The sprite work is fantastic.

The sprites used in the actual version are very different from this texture pack

How did you extract these images? Could you possibly extract the images from the KFC Event?
