The weapons definetely need buffs. I bought the bifurcator, since the description sounded like it would behave like a souped-up monosword. The damage is okay-ish, but it only has about 30% armor penetration. A normal quality monosword already has 72%.

Ths really needs a buff. Or the description should change.

i think the weapons could use a bit of a buff, their dps is a good bit lower than vanilla weapons such as monoswords

Hi, the RecipeDefs that utilize the Persona Bond Forge mod reference BondingCore and BondingBench, which are ThingDef from the old (RimWorld 1.3 and below) Persona Bond Forge mod. The new one by StatistNo1 (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2881724503) has the same mod name (so is also found with PatchOperationFindMod) but uses instead PersonaBondForge_ThingDef_BondingCore and PersonaBondForge_ThingDef_BondingBench .

This leads to errors in the log like:
Could not resolve cross-reference to Verse.ThingDef named BondingCore (wanter=thingDefs)

I believe it would be better to reference the new ThingDefs, at least for RimWorld 1.4, so your recipes work with a version of Persona Bond Forge that supports that version of RimWorld. Thanks!

Seems anyone can use these warcasket or not, ive checked and the modextension is in the def and i dont know of anything patching these weapons.

For some reason, every time I raid an ancient complex I keep getting katanas and crustbreakers, and never the other weapons. It could just be because of my luck, but I'd like to know if anyone else is having a similar problem.
I have better ancient complex loot installed, and I believe it could be causing this problem but I haven't tested this out yet nor am completely certain and I'd like confirmation if possible.

I cant seem to figure out how to make crustbreaker work - if I bring up the ability, it shows me a potential cone, but then tells me there's no target in line of sight, no matter who I try to target with it.

so it is specifically yayos animations causing it? also, the weapon abilities dont work and theres no actual persona on the weapons

For those who lose their weapons' persona traits, there might be a solution: unsubscribe the mod "Enable Oversized Weapons."
After that, please use CE or the mod "More persona traits" to regenerate weapons/traits.
I don't know how but it just worked for me :p

If its impossible to bring back persona traits, I purpose giving them random traits, but if they are being currently held by pawn, its unbounded

mod description says it can only be acquired from quests or ancient structures but I found them on merchants on multiple occasions.

if these weapons happen to have the freewielder trait, it gives the weapon specific ability permanently to whoever has equipped it at least once, which ruins balance.

It's working just fine with me i also use the vanilla persona weapon expanded, but from what i know it only changes the visual of vanilla persona weapon. Something worth noting tho i also use more persona trait mod and my weapon spawn with trait from that mod.

Also is the weapon of this mod supposed to have a high spawn rate ? I got like 3 persona weapon form an ancient ruin

Maybe the only ones that work correctly are the ones that spawn in quests?

I remember being able to accept a quest with such a weapon as a reward and am pretty sure that one had traits. Maybe there is some weird shit going on with how it spawns?

I also bought mine from a trader, the plasma sword is held upside down and the gravity hammer is normal(no traits tho)

Nope. It's the same on every colonist and I can't spawn in any different warcasket persona weapons that have any sort of persona traits. I guess I'll try and post a hugslib log.

Something worth mentioning, all of this is based on the fact that I bought a Crustbreaker from a merchant. It has no stats and when I gave it to a very strong child colonist they held it completely wrong.
I'm gonna check quickly to see if the same glitch is on anyone else, but the problem could be that they aren't supposed to be sold. How about it?

vanilla expanded i believe, but yes i do have a mod which adds traits, potentially changes how they work. I guess its two patches interfering?

Read comments, weapons are held properly and if they had traits on top of abilities it'd be overpowered or its very difficult to code in.

Also, none of the weapons are being held correctly. The only animation mod I have is Yayo's Animations, but without it there is literally zero change.

To the people wondering why the Kyokatana sword looks so odd when wielded, it is done like that because of Japanese tradition and how the stance works. It is extremely effective at killing your opponent but is also a sure fire way to get yourself killed, thus this battle stance and the according technique was only used when a person was ready to die but kill his opponent at all cost. It is seen as an extremely honorable way to die. Sorry if this reads weird.English is not my main language

Is this mod compatible with combat extended? I have a kyokatana which doesn't have armor penetration value or average melee dps and the debug log says it's because it isn't compatible with combat extended

Sound issues fixed.
Kyokatana's ability was not going on cooldown because of C# bullshit, this is fixed.
Ability hediffs are now hidden.

Fixed recipes with Persona Bond Forge (they were all making Persona Charge Rifles and I somehow missed that).
Fixed the VFE Pirates warning.
Removed the Abilities Extended stuff, since the mod does not depend on it anymore (because I recoded everything for like the fourth time), which should fix the relevant errors.
Trying to fix the sound issues right now - I was aware of them but wanted to update to 1.4 as soon as the mod was functional.
