Goldensnake, every single weapon in the game does that even the vanilla ones and the ones that had running animations added in by the modders. It's not a bug, just something that the dev of this game does as a much more effective version of doing a running anim without animating all the bones one by one.

Pressing shift without moving will still display the running animation. I hope it can be fixed.
