Sadly I'm not working on this mod for foreseeable future as I'm now 100% dedicated to web dev and my full time job. I'm sure there's already some mod that does what this does but better.

One thing. I tried pulling some ragdolls with the winch with a car but they weren't being pulled. Can you please add that feature or make a new mod about that? Thank you!

There isn't. Sorry but I'm not working on Teardown mods for the foreseeable future, so I hope someone makes a better version of this mod.

is their a way to enlarge a winch, or just shrink and deleate it? if their isnt, can you add that?

Is there like a length limit? because i tried pulling explosives up a tower with it and it didnt worked (j checked that the same object with same amount of winches can be pulled at smaller distance)

You can delete them with the middle mouse button.

@Xcr1msondeathX I'm thinking of overhauling the mod soon and adding configurable grow/shrink/delete keybindings and a way of binding grow/shrink keys for each winch individually

how do i delete the winches?

do you plan on making the winch mod work in both directions both pulling and releasing tension?

The mod uses data structures that are freed from the memory when the game reloads, so everything basically blips out of existence and the mod doesn't create them back. I'm kinda bored of Teardown modding right now but I'll fix it. Shouldn't take long

Good mod, fun item. But something is causing this mod to occasionally break when saving then reloading, especially 'resource-heavy' areas or mods. It happens at the same time the game begins displaying a lot of moving text at the bottom left of the screen, not sure if the two problems are related since apparently other mods can do the same thing when they break, but this is the first one I've been able to find actually broken while it's happening.

I like it, but I can't get into it because the winch isn't strong enough for the items I want to pull, and I don't feel like doing multiple winches. Great mod, overall, though!

Sweet, if possible then being able to place multiple winches and adjust strength of them would be helpful since nobody has made a crane that can change it's rope length instead of having to raise and lower the arm

This script is made entirely from scratch. You can notice the physics behaves kind of weirdly in most situations, because I haven't found a way of really shrinking the rope. Currently the script only tries to somewhat simulate it by applying forces to the objects.
