Just a quick message regarding the 1.6 update. I've got a barebones update on github, buuuut I really want to rework the ability system, which I have started, but due to the biome heavy focus of the new dlc I'm going to have to prioritise ashlands for now.

I don't know why that happened, I didn't change my mod list or anything, but yesterday the cat-races had ears and after starting my game today most of my cats lost their ears...but not even all !? ...is there something I can do to get them back? xD

I have never had an issue with HAR in my runs and I use too many mods. Only time I had issues it wasn't HAR it was me getting gun-ho and adding like 30 damn races with their own unique animations and events.

@S-Tier Bussy HAR actually does far far more than what biotech does or can do out of the gate. With that said not only would the author have to remake the entirety of the mod (since a good amount uses custom stuff from HAR or has had mashed make it based on mechanics only made possible with HAR and harmony) it would mean cutting and gutting core mechanics of the mod itself only to be then locked behind a paywall that is a dlc which is what the author is avoiding all together. While many people do use the dlc everyone can use HAR. Personally I don’t see the issue people have, most of it is failure to read incompatibilities or using far too many mods than what’s good for them. This is a 10/10 mod would never remake again.

@SirMashedPotato, fair enough but a lot of people ceased using HAR once Biotech was released/purchased, it can cause more problems than needed as well as doing many of the same things. Hopefully someone could make a Biotech version with your permission in the future.

@MrSchadenfreude, I'm assuming you mean will I remake this entire mod, and any HAR features this mod relies on, to use Biotech instead of HAR?

At this point no. It's a lot of work. And then the mod would be locked behind a paid DLC.

Simply my opinion - a standalone mask mod would be nice. The artwork is fantastic, but some of us don't want to use HAR :)

@Icelus, honestly would mind. Easy enough to make a patch mod that allows humans to wear the masks, or an addon mod that adds human sized versions of them.

@SirMashedPotato Would changing the Mask Wearing meme to apply to human pawns be equally as simple? I might take a shot at making a patch, if my modding skills are up for the task

Allowing other races to wear the masks would be a fairly simple xml edit or xpatch patch for someone to do. The backpacks should be similarly easy, though may need extra work to account for other body types. The problem with the rest of the apparel is I only did art for the body types that Lynians can use.

In saying all that, I do kinda like the idea of children being able to wear Lynian apparel. So I might take a look at that specifically when updating this for 1.5. Adults should really have an extra def with appropriate resource costs, which is a bit bloaty for even me. Plus the whole not having art for three body types issue.

Hey there, this is a really lovely mod, I've been enjoying it a lot. It's nice to relive some of the old MH games through Rimworld in quite a different way. I really appreciate all the hard work put into it.

There's one thing that caught my attention though. I think the percept and the meme added by the mod has a lot of potential to be expanded. I know the outfits are made to be worn exclusively by lynians, but it would be nice if the masks themselves were wearable by human pawns, and the meme expanded to include them as well, since there isn't anything like this in the game, outside maybe the anonymity meme, but it isn't really the same thing.

A few of the other outfits would also fit nicely among the rest of the tribal apparel in the game, and offer more variety for child pawns, though I imagine that would take more work.

Still though, this is an amazing mod, thank you.

@sirmashedpotato would making it stuffable with textiles to that? I know weapon materials like steel or stone effect weapon stats, but had no idea it could also do that with textiles. Then again, weapons aren't usually made with textiles so I wouldn't know. :3

@Alderstifen, this and Medieval Overhaul should work fine together. Neither of those researches are prerequisites for any research in Medieval Overhaul. You have something else going on there that you need to figure out.

Hello, I'm running a Medieval game with Medieval Overhaul and I can't research the Boaboa Equipment or the Purrserker Equipment. It's a prerequisite for research in the Medieval Overhaul and I'm thinking its messing with my ability to research those as well.

Even using devmode to instantly complete the research doesn't work. It's also only these two researches, so I'm guessing its some issue between the two mods.

I've tried adjusting the load order around to have Medieval Overhaul load after Lynian or vice versa and that doesn't seem to help.

They are all HAR races, not xenotypes.

There's currently an issue with children receiving body types that their race isn't allowed. The Dev build of HAR already has a fix for this, that will hopefully be pushed to the main build some time soon.

In the mean time, the Dev build can be found here.
