It's an secret mini puzzle to open a shortcut. To solve that you need to find the table nearby and set the old candle holder down, then the shortcut will open.

what were we supposed to do with the old candle holder ? anyway, we did the card sequence by chnace so that was ok. we still had to look up the chest with the paintings

Wasn't fun, lots of glitches, stuck in multiple walls or walls were invisible to some and visible to others. Not worth playing

Padlock on chest bugged and second slider was missing, never seen that in 100 hours in the game

Nice room, good job ! I don't know if it's normal, but we played at 5 players, one of us was stuck, /spoil when some walls was open, just one of us can't cross them /spoil

A very nice room! Got spooked a little.
Didn't really understand the ending with the 3 doors, maybe I got lucky but finished it the first time , but an awesome job.

I don't know if it glitched, but I don't see how the chest combination is what it is. I only see the adult man and one of the adult women paintings in the hallways. I have not seen even one of the family paintings, nor the second adult woman. So the combination was a mystery to me until I looked up the guide. Otherwise, a very awesome room!
