"It would be nice if you had designed the chamber so that it looked nice." What did you have in mind? I'm no good making a chamber look good. Only function good.
The aerial faith plate acts like an assistant and sugggestion. If you can perform the maneuver without that assist, good for you. You still solved the chamber relative to how I thought you would solve it. Only way to know for sure is to see how you solved it. Here's some info how to do that:

Blue-painted ball can reach last room by himself.
Toss panel? You mean aerial faith plate? That is there to ensure the ball wall bounces upward and out the other end .
It would be nice if you had designed the camera so that it looked nice
...and toss panel in a glass tube can be removed.

My Portal 2 and Aperture Tag maps are more for sharing small ideas more so than creating a puzzle. The small ideas I do come up with hopefully are a good seed for more experienced level designers to create a larger map out of. ;)

1 death on 1st attempt to go to sphere area.
I would consider adding a puzzle,
to get back from sphere area. (& maybe changing the faithplate back for another method)
How did you do it? I'd like to know to fix exploits.
