really nice atmosphere area etc. pretty much everything about it is good. and you didnt put 3000 enemies per centimeter in this map unlike other modders so good work!

You're welcome, I enjoy the limited engine, that's where creativity comes in and after a while, like here, we start to see some extraordinary designs. For instance the classic Doom Engine has some amazing designers still using it today, I feel like Door Kickers 2 has that same lasting appeal. The editor is really easy to use and the latest triggers that allow more custom interactions can go a long way. Good luck with your future maps!

Yes the problem with the hostages,already existed before and seemed to be fixed in the meantime. Unfortunately, this problem seems to be back since the last update.
Will leave the map for now as it is and hope the final release of the game then fixes some things.
Because it is currently still playable.
If you work a lot with the editor, you will notice after a while that there are significant limitations, because the engine was never intended for certain things. But it is also an easy to use tool...
I have a few more ideas, but they are limited realizable at the moment.,
but let's see what else comes with the 1.0.

Just finished a run on this one, amazing design, I like the flooded area you can walk in and the overcast hue really makes it stand out. I did notice the female hostage in the room on the left (It had a window pointing East.) was trapped in the room and wouldn't cross the doorway, very similar to before. I just cleared the map and it wasn't a big deal. Maybe it's not a map issue and more a bug in the game.

Yeah what can I say. This mission is great. It took me a while to figure out a path through the maze to get some decent angles on the hotspots. Couldn't have done it without the extra frags on the belt.

Of course, lovely attention to detail, and the black/white filter really fits the thunder atmo.

Yes, there are really good mods out there and that's a big part of the fascination of DK2. Personally, I don't like playing with the militia fairground shooters that much either. I hope at the end of the EA there will be a few new units that really make sense and maybe even enemy types will appear.

I hope you play the (S)killhouse map like any other. That's what interests me about your replays.
On the map, everyone should proceed as tactically as they want.
It's not primarily about being first...
And if you look at the replays, no run is like any other.
The Leaderboard is meant as a little bonus to see how effective the run was.
I respect your opinion but would have been very happy if you participated...

About that skillhouse map. Even though it might seem like I enjoy playing fast, I don't enjoy speed runs or comparing myself to others, I just like to play naturally. Thing is with this competitive stuff you end up with cheese runs more than anything in my opinion and it's not my idea of fun. Some people might enjoy the concept but I don't think it's for me. I might play it later but I'll play it like any other mission.
I just saw you posted a new map I'll definitly play this one. Nice seeing some nature ;)

Well I could've overan the map with 8 militia troops but didn't have the patience for them so I went with the ANA commandos from the 7th SFG mod. You might've noticed I love flanking and coordinated attacks in DK, it's probably the thing I find the most satisfying in the game, and sometimes the amount of troops available is a bit too thin to pull that off. Does it make easier to have more soldiers? for sure. But like you said I'm glad that option is there when the player feels like playing the way they want. The ANA commandos are definitly a way to go around limited deploy slots while still having some good units because I believe they are much closer to rangers than the drunk militia. Some other mods offer the same option like the peshmerga from ground branch.

I'm glad you like the idea & look of the map.
Yes, I wanted to make exactly this big decision with the unit limit.
The consideration "How and from where is the best way to proceed?" was from the beginning a main part of this map design.
Personally i find this more interesting than just overrunning everything with 8 units.
And in my opinion the oppressive atmosphere of the map works more on the player with fewer units ;)
But different players have different preferences
and that's the big plus of DK2, everyone can play in their own way.

Ohh,and i thought guys in panik were shooting blindly around with guns too )

PS:
I wanted to ask you if you don't want to do a run in the (S)killhouse.
I'd be really curious about this replay...

Pretty cool map, I like the idea of a flood and you did a great job on the details. The layout is interesting and complex enough, having only 4 guys forces you to take big decisions on how to spread the teams. I would've liked 8 or 6 deploys personnaly. Not sure I enjoyed enemies with pistol that blind fire, it looks kinda off to me, but apart from that it was balanced and alt spawns kept it interesting.
