ValkeRyan, yea scissor arms have its uses. Mass is definitely an issue with longer arms, and whether or not the rotors can provide enough torque to turn.
( maybe today ) and second you never will make something like this in survival. its easy to make something like this in creative mode but in survival its a nightmare,
Extraordinary engineering
Sorry that it took so long, but I had a new idea, to optimize it bit. Both versions are included here:

I also ran in some issues with the new update. They must have changed something with the rotors or connectors. The Station end of the arm did suddenly had a very rough ride while moving over the connectors. It was so bumpy that it rattled a bunch of scissor links loose. But after a lot of experimenting I've found a workaround. Now it moves quite smooth.

I'm waiting for the pistons update at the moment to see if this can be further improved upon.
As a result the handling is quite easy.
Press P an reverse a rotor group. Thats it.
