Yes, you pick the shipset in empire creation when you start a new game
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Thranta-class_corvette
It was a Star ship used by the Old Republic Navy doing Great Galactic War, Cold War, Galactic War, War against Zakuul and Third Galactic War. The ship is manly in SWTOR game, there is also a Star Wars wiki page about it.
This set already has the Thranta Cruiser (could be what you are referencing here). Never heard of the Thranta Corvette though
Okay thank you
Ok now I remember after having a look at that mod, he called the Thranta model from the Old Republic at Wars mod the Aegis Class. This mod also uses the same model from Old Republic at War expect I just called it the Thranta Cruiser Late Refit which you can see on the roster.
I believe Yorrick used it in his mod
Aegis? Never heard of such as ship class and I would say that I am quite familiar with ships of this era.
They will never be used for random empires, they will only be used by the AI if you make empires with this set that are forced spawned into your games
I have added a new model, the Axehead Frigate which for me is an accomplishment as it is the first model added to my sets that has been modeled, textured, and implemented entirely by me. Obviously if there is any friendly feedback regarding this model please let me know as I still consider myself new to full-on 3D modeling.
I have decided to add an optional edict that can be activated by players using this shipset that basically allows for the models that have sat unused in this set to finally see some action.
No, unfortunately added shipsets modify the checksum
I totally agree! I'm hoping that the bugfix is able to address this too. I'd love to be able to use your Republic and CIS ships with the new Starburst galaxy option on 3.6 - I think it really neatly gives a galaxy similar in shape to the Star Wars galaxy, with the "missing" arm simulating the Unknown Regions. Or really, just to be able to use them on the current version of the game in general, rather than having to roll back to the previous version if I want to. I'll hope for the best, and once again, keep up the wonderful work with your modding!
Nah, it's fine, yet it's also good to know this information. Apparently there is supposed to be a bugfix patch for 3.6 coming out next week so hopefully this gets addressed soon enough.
Yes, they do. It appears to be a generalized problem for anyone using certain operating systems. So far, I know that it doesn't work on my MacBook, and someone posted a bug report for the exact same issue when trying to use the mod on Steamdeck. In my case, I isolated the problem on a custom / personal mod of mine, which I had kitbashed from some previous Star Wars ship mods, but ANY ship mod that I attempt to work, by any author is consistently causing a crash when I try to boot up the game. I figured out that it's the .asset files by stripping out all files relating to ships from one of my personal mods, and then slowly adding them back in, testing that the game could still load, until I finally got the crash again.
Just curious, does the crash also happen with shipsets that are not mine?
I've isolated the problem to somewhere in the .asset files for shipset mods, at least when I try to use shipset mods into version 3.6 on my Macbook. No idea how to fix it though, without reverting to 3.5.3. And it only appears to be affecting certain operating systems.
I am not sure what you are talking about... shipsets (both mine and other people's) work fine for me
Yea, It should. But Legacy of the Old Republic also has it's own Old Republic shipset just an FYI
No, New Dawn is a Total Conversion mod, no outside shipsets will work with it
I plan to release a remade Mandalorian set after Stellaris 3.6 releases
Hey i hope you don't mind me asking but i was wondering do you have any plans on doing a Mandalorian shipset? the reason i ask is i can't seem to find one that still works and so i just thought it was worth asking.
Fleet Formation mod should work fine with every set
Its real life equivalent would be a Constitutional Republic.
The official wikia is a viable source of information, as the devs do have notes on some pages.
I'd just wait until SotP is updated after 3.6 exists. For your UNSC ships.
I thought the mod Sins of the Prophets already has a very well made UNSC set
