I've had the opposite problem to where they spawn into the ground, for me the height offset helps but only to the point that they're not in a small area otherwise they're in the ceiling xd.
As far as hovering goes, I do see that but only while I have their thinking disabled, once it's enabled they go onto the ground(unless they're inside it, in which they will stay in the ground). That's just my experience though

The biggest problem with this is that the replaced models make the NPCs hover above the ground, and the "Height offset" option doesn't do anything. It is not a problem with the models, either, because if I use the dedicated NPCs with the models they appear fine; it is only when this randomizer works that it affects them this way.

How do i deselect certain models from being used in randomization? I tried doing it in the GUI, made a preset, saved it, yet it doesnt make a difference as every model i have is still used in randomization, even if theyre deselected

i dont mean to be that guy that requests for addons, but by any chance - is there a possibility for something similar to this, except with weapons? like, so when NPCs spawn they have a random weapon from the list?

its a minor thing, but i dont think ive seen something like that on the workshop before

thanks, was using this metropolice force mod that had a couple variants but it would always just stay as the default one, it should work now.

i still thinking having an option to choose what npcs you want the skin to randomize for is a good idea
For example: you make it so that a metrocop skin gets randomized but no one elses

really nice mod.
But I found that with this mod enabled, some of the AI like those in hl2 maps and some player made campaigns will not function normally. in most cases they just stand still until I attack or run up to them instead of do what they are designed to do.

I feel like this addon should have more than just "Pick a random model-profit"

For example, there are should be options of which Bodygroups do you want to activate or not, Nemez Metropolice has a really bad bodygroup which removes the... neck of the model and it's kind of the reason why I can't use it.

There should be more than just 3 NPCs. Some of them like Hunter, Alyx, Barney have handful of models.

This addon should also pick models that have respective animations rather than picking them in thier NPC Tab or alternatively, If there's not a model that we want to choose make a tab where you can find a model to randomize.

And lastly, There should be some kind of a sub-group like Citizens-Refugees-Rebels-Medics and not just all in one so that the HL2 Maps can be... immersive?

I assume this doesn't randomize the npc models themselves, you know having a rebel medic arm with a normal rebel body? I thought it was but its probably too ambitious to do that

I have "npc_model_randomizer_chosen 1" and "npc_model_randomizer_combine_s 0" input into the console and it still randomizes their bodygroups and skins. The model is the same which is good, but I guess I still don't understand.

I've looked through the commands list in the description and in game but I just want to make sure; is there a way to disable randomized skins for only 1 npc type? Example: I can disable random skins for combine soldiers, but not for metropolice.
