Would you be okay with non-Vanilla style sprites? Considering redoing them and joining

Hello,

We don't have a timeline on when this will be updated, mainly due to the below. Litwick left the server of their own volition after numerous instances of interpersonal conflict with members of the staff and server.

We agreed to remove the sprites at their request *as long as we had replacements from other artists*, as we didn't want to break people's saves or private the mod entirely, and we didn't give a fixed timeline due to the voluntary nature of this project when it was uncertain if we would even get replacements. 1/2

So far we haven't been able to get replacement sprites - so the mod hasn't been updated or progressed at all since everyone who was working on it has either left or burnt out. There are tentative plans to make new sprites to replace the ones in this mod, but it is slow-moving. We specifically haven't updated the mod as it wouldn't be fair to Litwick without replacements.

However, that doesn't mean it's over for PM:VAE - if any among you are willing to help re-do the sprites on this mod, please join our discord and post up in the volunteer center. We will provide tutorials and examples on what you need to do. -> discord.gg / PDcpYYpvqZ (remove spaces)

Peeps, don't expect this mod to be updated anymore

Afaik, this mod kinda died after an argument betweem me, the artist who was carring out all this sub-branch, and the main devs, occured circa December 2022. Caused mainly due to creative differences and personal relations between each other.

I am not sure if the team have gotten any another artist or dev that can continue this part of the mod, or if Yap is gonna ever remove all the sprites and credits from this branch (that in theory we agreed when I left the server)

If you plan to continue with this, I encourage you to continue the develop by yourselves. If you find it appropiate, you can also share your versions in the main server

Hey so just wanting to give an idea for a future mod not sure if you would make it as it needs a DLC to work but an idea for a mod to go with the Biotech DLC is Pawnmorph Robots with the based idea of it being that now you can make some robots that fight with the Pawnmorph weapons and effects

I assume this mod works fine with just the combined VAE? Mod managers throw errors and missing dependencies from 1.3 non combined versions

On Pawnmorpher Discord they even said that the main mod would not be compatable with Edb. Character Editor is recommended since Edb has errors ect....

Make sure to look at the Pawnmorpher settings to make sure that the required tagging option is not checked.

Mine says it needs "Pawnmorpher" mod to work but the load order is Pawnmorpher,Pawnmorpher: Insectoids, Pawnmorpher:VAE so probably the package id thing @KiTA said

It looks like the original Pawnmorpher chagned it's PackageID? It's now tachyonite.pawnmorpherpublic not tachyonite.pawnmorpher. Not sure if that breaks anything, but it does cause Rimpy to get confused with the search.

Just one question: I created a lionmorph on a male colonist and... he does not have mane.
Looks like a mountain lion (or a lioness) to me...
Is this a bug? Or mane is not part of the mutation?
(Mane is fur? Or hair? Maybe...?)

@Dragonfly We plan to roll out more morphs as added by VAE - any animals that aren't included in those mods won't be in this.

@Ehayn - we still need to update PM for 1.4 to patch for that. :)

I've added dependencies now - note Pawnmorpher is the only *actually* required one, but without the VAE mods you will be missing some of them.

It'll be compatible sure, but it won't have any specific integration. The two systems will work alongside each other.

@Computica No, as we'd need to either paywall the main mod or manage two separate systems at once, neither of which are desirable outcomes. We had no involvement with the development of Biotech.
