the work around for getting a custom model's animations to work on breach, from my experience, is renaming the bones of the custom model to match the names of the bones on the original model (As many as you can, at least).

The only way that I know of to do this is to rig the old model to the existing animations of the new 096 model, but I haven't been able to do that. Maybe there is some way to get it working with the old animations or it could just be hard coded and that is the only solution. That's what I did for the 173 model and what that other guy did for the classic 106 model.

The problem with that of course is that the new animations look nothing like the old ones, so it would work but it would be it's own new thing of the old model with the new hunched over animations.

bad news: i think i give up animating the old model... i also found out that he T-poses in breach mode (multiplayer) at first i thought he T-poses when dying but no, he T-poses while walking... i don't think i will be animating the model... :(

I just ported the model, so go ahead. I've tried to learn fragmotion properly before but it's hell, if you could manage to make the model work in multiplayer I'm sure it'd be much appreciated by everyone.

one question: can i use this model for practicing? i'm trying to learn how to animate in fragmotion, i'm currently trying to make the old 096 model have a death animation in multiplayer but i keep failing to animate it... any help or tips would be apreciated

Plus it'd have to use the vanilla animations, and the old 096 models looks awful rigged on those.

That involves re-rigging the whole model with weight maps, so no can do unfortunately.

The only real problem is if the model you're trying to port is a completely different scale to the normal one, in which case you might need to mess around with it a bit in fragMOTION (like I had to do for this 096 model). http://www.fragmosoft.com/fragMOTION/

ngl im having a lot of fun with this just this installed and not the other required thing, he just t-poses with his really long body & arms and its the funniest and simultaneously scariest thing to face when you're being chased :SkullWorry:
