@hardtokill406 I don't know what Lekmod is. I don't recommend using mods not included in my collection with METSL. In case this is all the instructions you need see below:

- After you've enabled all the mods you want to play with, click 'next'
- Choose SINGLE PLAYER and CUSTOM GAME to get the new setup menu. You must use the custom game menu.

Make sure you're not backing out of the mod menu.

I have the whole pack installed and enabled, when I click next and custom game, i get MTSL_Setup but all are set to random civ, and I have no civilization options. I have tried exiting game, verifying game files, re opening multiple times. On a side note, I have Lekmod on my game files, should I remove it?

I have all the packs subscribed and downloaded but only get the option to play the MTSL_setup which doesn't let me choose Middle_Earth civilizations or any civilization but just selects a random vanilla civ. Is there something I need haven't done which I need to do?

Thanks for permission. I would make a special credit for these mods. I'm working on a different way to make mod for multiplayer. I would be able to share soon on Moddb, I guess.
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 16 Jan, 2020 @ 7:32am
@Romeo The Master [T.E.] Yes you may. At a minimum please thank me in your description and provide a link to this collection. Ideally whatever you create would be dependent on what I created, but that seems unrealistic especially if your intent is to consolidate the mods and make it compatible with multiplayer. BTW Middle Earth Soundtrack and Middle Earth Civilizations were too large to be included in a single mod. I don't remember what program was limiting the size of the mod, but that happened and that's why Middle Earth Soundtrack is separate.
RomeoTheMaster 14 Jan, 2020 @ 4:55am
It looks like about scenario and scripts to me. I prefer to make these mods in one mod. And playable on multiplayer. Also in my goal all of units must be textured, animated. Maybe I can add dragons and other creatures of middle earth.
DanTheTerrible 14 Jan, 2020 @ 4:40am
Romeo any chance your mod will actually have a ringbearer, with a free people win condition to destroy the ring by delivering it to Mount Doom and a Sauron/Saruman win condition of capturing the ring?
RomeoTheMaster 14 Jan, 2020 @ 1:02am
Hello yenyang, Im currently making Civilizations 5 - The Last Battle of Middle Earth mod. For singleplayer, multiplayer and co-op. If you allow me to use your Middle Earth Collection i would be gratefull to you. Im fan of middle earth.
Sincerely,
RomeoTheMaster

Thanks for the quick reply, yenyang, I'll get those sorted out and added to my game soon. Amazing you're still replying to comments after all these years.

@DanTheTerrible Middle Earth Wonders is a collection of Mods by regalmanemperor and you can find it above from the "Linked Collection" or at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=287709535&tscn=1565326611

Irns Medieval version is not currently a workshop item but you can download via direct downlink link posted in this discussion. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/257882191/1644295067076747623/

This is an awesome set of mods and I have been having a lot of fun with it. My only beef is that a couple of the mods by other creators yenyang has recommended don't seem to be available in the Steam workshop. Granted this is all relatively old stuff now that Civ 6 is out, but still, if anyone can suggest a source for these two mods I'd love to try them. 1) Middle Earth Wonders by regalmanemperor. 2) Irn's Medieval Version (MEC : IMV) by Irn.

I have tried Bloublou's Medieval era mod, and it is ok, but the description of Irn's version makes it sound much better. I also enjoy using a mod that removes the limit to earning experience for fighting barbarians; there seem to be several of these by different creators, the one I have loaded is by Bloublou.

@MrMiyagiCS Oh awesome! I hope you enjoy it.
MrMiyagi 22 Jun, 2019 @ 3:47pm
I found it! So excited to try this out the next time I crack open CivV. :steamhappy:
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 26 Feb, 2019 @ 8:41am
@carol.lance56 Glad to hear it! I will let others know if they complain about issues.
Bloodhound8832 25 Feb, 2019 @ 4:47pm
i have played through turn 702 and had ZERO issues or problems. I played with only the mods and so far so good. If it helps try playing in windows 7 compatability mode. Once i started playing all my games in civ 5 in this mode, ive had ZERO problems. Thanks
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 17 Sep, 2018 @ 2:40pm
Wouldn't that make sense to move the bug report to the Official Middle Earth Civilizations Collection very page, instead of the page of one single part out of the six?
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 17 Sep, 2018 @ 2:37pm
I trashed all Civ V save files yesterday to make room. I won't be able to repeat the bug as advised.
Sorry.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 17 Sep, 2018 @ 9:33am
Bummer too. 'can't find that Bug Report thread...
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 17 Sep, 2018 @ 7:59am
@ForevaNoob Wonemorturn Bummer. There's instructions in the Bug Report Threads on how to send me your database.log file. I can take a look at that.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 16 Sep, 2018 @ 1:02pm
I tested a game with no oher mods but your full Official Middle Earth Civilizations Collection, minus Middle Earth True Start Location, and it crashed at turn 75.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:58pm
Wait, Postclassical Age isn't from your Middle Earth mod but from Saga of Man.
Just for the records.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:53pm
In all of the 4 games I played with your mods I used METSL, but it doesn't make it the culprit, just a suspect.
And none with any BlouBlou's era enabled.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:43pm
One of these days, I'd give it another try with no other mods but yours, except METSL.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:41pm
Easier: I also went to check the mods list I used for that particular crashing game and BlouBlou wasn't enabled... but METSL was.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:36pm
I use BlouBlou's stuff a lot, but couldn't remember so I checked a savegame from my last attempt as Aragorn, and it says:
Tour 129. Actual era: Postclassical Age
Starting era: Prehistory
(Translated from french)
So no, no BlouBlou's with my last crash.
Wait, I could still have used a BlouBlou's era and begin the game in Prehistory, but there is nothing like your personal "Postclassical Age" in BlouBlou's eras, as they follow the regular vanilla history.
I remember thinking those different names won't make BlouBlou's stuff and yours compatible, and most surely avoided the mixing for ever.
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 12 Sep, 2018 @ 3:07pm
@ForevaNoob Wonemorturn I also wanted to ask if you are using any of the Eras mods by Blou Blou?

Each leader has a flavor value (1-10) for their interest in making allies. Elrond is particularly fond of making alliances/friendships because it helps with his unique ability.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 12 Sep, 2018 @ 12:10am
A Mac or a PC doesn't make any difference in terms of playability from my (long) gamer and moder experience, once the computer is able to play the base game of course.
I try your METSL suggestion.
Thanks for the answer already.
Great mod.

Also, let say if I play as an elf, it seems to be easier to ally with another elven civilization than the Mordor for instance, which could make sense.
Are those nothing but only feelings of mine right?
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 11 Sep, 2018 @ 6:42am
@ForevaNoob Wonemorturn a few people have reported that but I have yet to repeat it for myself. Also I don't have a Mac to test it on. I'd recommend removing METSL and seeing if that fixes the problem.
ForevaNoob Wonemorturn 9 Sep, 2018 @ 1:22am
Very nice mod.
Only it always freezes when I reach around year 80/90. I'm on a Mac, but I never had problems playing any mod on any game before.
I believe I checked the right mods and unchecked the non compatible one, but I played it four times with a different faction, and it always happens...
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 12 Jun, 2018 @ 10:13am
@Salty Saltire 3rd Unique Component Mod and 4th Unique Component Mod You will need to be subscribed to those and produce a new mod that is dependent on these mods and mine which uses the format from the additional unique mods to add the content you want. Unless you are just trying to remove a unique building/improvement and replace it with a unique unit. That would be different.
JMason 11 Jun, 2018 @ 10:40pm
Yenyang thank you for creating this. I'm been messing around with the code, I am an amateur at best, to add different unique units to the races. I can't seem to get that to work. Can you just let me know if that's even possible? If not, I'll stop trying. If so, I've been following the civ fanatic modding how-to's and they aren't working. Just something I'm messing around with, no intention of publishing or anything, just for my own pleasure. Thanks.
jonarneriise 15 Jan, 2018 @ 10:30am
I see. Thank you for the clarification! I'll see about the new scenario too.
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 7:35pm
@jonarneriise (I use shorthand for each of my mods, ask if you need clarification) the scenario by Hermur is only for MEC, MEB, MECS, and MEO. Now that I notice that MES is not included in the scenario I bet you'll need an old version of MEC to run the scenario. I can't tell you which because it doesn't say on his page. the versions of MEC since v4 are all available in the archives discussion under MEC. METSL is absolutely incompatible with the scenario. Producing a scenario version of METSL would require custom coding that I'm never going to do. You might consider downloading civ 5 world builder and producing your own scenario compatible with all of my mods except METSL. You can even publish it to the workshop if you like. You could use my map as a starting point so you don't have to build your own.
jonarneriise 14 Jan, 2018 @ 12:51pm
@[SSU]yenyang Yeah, this one, withed locked alliances etc. To put the file there was my first idea, but it is not going to work that way (or I dont see the right button). I load your mods, click on single player - custom game (there is only this and Load game) and then there is only METSL option in the new window, so if I click there I arrive at the advances options for the new game with 2 TSL map options, for 10 and 14 players. There is no way to select a scenario file though. I also tried to copy it to the same folder where the TSL map are, and with no success either. The scenario file is the .civ5map file, is that correct?
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 8:30am
@jonarneriise The one made by Hermur? You need to find your "MODS" Folder which is probably at C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\ By the way I have never played his scenario, nor have I heard anyone else's opionion about it.
jonarneriise 14 Jan, 2018 @ 4:43am
Right, have figured it out too. Apparently it's enough to simply set the correct number (14), and no duplicates appear.
Thanks anyway!
Another question please, you have a link to the LoTR scenario here. I have downloaded the scenario file, where should I put it to make it work?
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 13 Jan, 2018 @ 8:25am
@jonarneriise i think you van just add more civs on the setup screen. just make sure there are no duplicates.
jonarneriise 13 Jan, 2018 @ 2:39am
I mean TSL maps of course.
jonarneriise 13 Jan, 2018 @ 2:38am
hi, thank you for these mods! I have a question: there are two maps, a large one with 10 nations, and a huge with 18; could you maybe make the large map available to play with all 18 nations please?
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 5 Jan, 2018 @ 1:31pm
@Reptilia yes, but I have never done it. There are some links to instructions on the main mod page.
Reptilia 4 Jan, 2018 @ 9:24am
can you play this multiplayer?
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 28 Jul, 2017 @ 10:21pm
Look up how to use mods. Sounds like you are backing out of the mod menu.
ch3f1337 28 Jul, 2017 @ 9:58am
@SSUyenyang: Are you still giving some support eventhough you stopped the development? I downloaded and installed all the mods and installed Blou Blou's Eras as well, but whenever I want to have a setup with Middle-Earth, the game offers me the usual civilizations. I cannot pick anything from your mods. I tried to delete the ModDatabase Cache, but it didn't help. Do you have any further advice? Thank you for the mods and your help!
[SSU]yenyang  [author] 1 Jul, 2017 @ 7:14pm
@DISCIPLE Thanks. Don't forget to give the mods a thumbs up rating and a favorite. :D Happy Gaming!!!
Gahlahad 1 Jul, 2017 @ 10:43am
i just want to say thiis is the best choice of mods for roleplaying and i want to thank you ssuyenyang
Mr New Vegas 23 Mar, 2017 @ 2:38pm
just get mods to stay in an era, like the medevial which should cover most of the special units and buildings
stankra 18 Feb, 2017 @ 4:46am
@yenyang: Oh sure... not really the right one to do this. :) Sorry that you are no longer working on this, it is one of the best I've seen with LotR scenarios. All the best to you.
