Vampires have their Hunger mechanism that let's them regen in combat. I think that should, in theory, cover their regenerating needs.

The only potential concern is the inability to target them with skills or spells that require an undead target, like Invocation of Nehek. Maybe there's a clever workaround possible...

Vampiric units lorefully should also flee when at low leadership. They don't crumble like the undead under their control do. They exist without the need of any maintenance/binding spell.

It would actually be a pretty huge nerf, since right now they are semi-unbreakable and immune to minor leadership shocks. But it doesn't make sense for them to be, since vampires are very selfish and very much feel fear if they are in potential danger...

Hey Mr. Soul, I made a different mod that that changes the stats of Ghouls, Necromancers and Bats to match those in the Radious mod. But when I tried to run it with Mixer it caused a problem with the Race unlocks, and the opening cinematic won't play. I figured out how to fix it by removing the dependencies in the dependency manager so it no longer Requires any mod to run.
I want to release it as: "Lively Ghouls, Necromancers and Bats (Radious Submod)", but since it uses some code from your mod to work I thought I should ask you for permission before making it public. Can I post this mod on the workshop as a Submod for Radious (even tough its incompatible with your mod, and for Radious players your mod would be obsolete), with your permission?

Weird, last recall they are in the table, broken what sense like just won’t summon at all? They should still degrade like any summoned unit too if that’s what mean.

They should as one entry game uses is same, iirc just new main units table entries to circumvent skill. Have test it but have me thinking now too whether does even need a sub mod too. I’d just boot it up with radious first see if stats are there. If not busy I’ll take a look tonight try to get you a better answer.

Is this compatable with Radious? Do your "living" ghouls have the same stats as is radious if it's installed?

It should work at least for summoned ghouls too, but ya overall with summoning units across all races that’s something still needs to be addressed I think

This mod is great! Honestly I always wanted something like this!

Hopefully someone else in the future takes this a step further and differentiates from bound/animated hordes that crumble to the last body, Vs night creatures who are more likely to run away when the hold and control on them weakens

Now we just need one for vampires, since they're undead, but not bound to anything and tend to try to save their own hides when the battle turns against them.

Yes, some spells from the lore of vampires only work on undead, if I remember correctly. This is why imo, CA should rework the undead trait, so that spells that are supposed to work on/against them don't become obsolete.

I think CA made this lot undead so that we can use Lore of Blood to heal them, doesn't work on living units does it?

I really wish vampiric beings could also flee from combat, without them losing the undead trait. But sadly that's just not possible atm.

Hopefully in a future vampire counts rework, CA will make this distinction between risen undead and creatures of the night/mortals.

Unless we're talking about blood dragons or Vlad, vampires don't just throw their lives recklessly away in battle.

Only skeletal/spectral beings should work the way the undead do right now. Perhaps a good middle ground would be that as long as the lord lives to their army binded, non of the units flee. But if the lord is dead, then creatures like ghouls, bats, varghulfs and such will flee from combat if their morale tanks.

There's a mod already that does this, so the combination of these two should be very interesting.

Yeah, until today never really crossed my mind, but iirc even Blood Bowl makes this distinction(ie, Ghouls don't have regen...cos not actually undead xD)

I'll never understand why CA decided to make mortal units have the Undead trait. They have mixed rosters with Chaos now, where demons crumble and mortals flee. It could probably be expanded to vampire units as well, since the crumbling is a result of losing the connection to their Lord.
