Something might've changed with the full release of the game. I haven't played the game in a long while so I didn't really have a chance to look at all the changes to see if my mods are still compatible.

I'm not sure exactly how but there's an issue with the waydroid after decoding the signal.
I had them equipped, and another drowsy droid in my inventory as I usually try to rescue the three from golgotha, and once the equipped one "transformed" it wiped the other waydroid from my items.
it also stopped being marked as important and lost the notes I had on it so I assume the issue is that the mod swaps the droid with a different item whenever it changes, and it just deletes all other copies of it from your inventory, but it's still a bummer I can't have all of them chilling in grit gate

I'm having an issue where I think this mod won't let me finish the Golgotha quest line of repairing the Waydroid

I made a previous character in managed to complete it with this mod on and this is the only mod that I have that affects the WayDroid so this mod is my best assumption on what is happening has anyone else had this issue or can anyone figure out what's going on or am I just doing something wrong while the mod is on

You're right on the first part, as it turns out! Don't I have egg on my face?

Anyways thanks for the cool mod! I love the little interactions with the droid!

Can't reproduce it on a clean game (with no other mods), but this mod also doesn't touch anything in that area. Make sure you're not just running out of juice (low level ElecGen doesn't have enough generation per turn to keep a force bracelet running).

You have any other mods installed?

Completing the final quest, the one where the way droid becomes a set of extra arms, seems to break jacked force bracelets, as they now power off a turn after being activated. I think this has something to do with an interaction between the Integrated Power Systems and Electrical Generation.

The drowsy waydroid is a piece of equipment for your floating nearby slot that reduces your encumbrance, like the hoversled. You can talk to it during Decoding the Signal and after that quest to receive additional effects.

same i repair the droid and the quest completes but it stays drowsy and i cant do anything with it

Changed how DW interacts with More Than a Willing Spirit. It should stop causing problems with finishing the quest now. Hopefully.

I also had the same issue with that quest not completing. I actually repaired, then picked up every droid I found before I realized the quest never completed. D: So my save might just forever have that quest line hosed.

Is there anything you can do with the drowsy droid after waking them up? So far in all the runs I've done with this mod installed, the sewer slumber quest ends right after chatting with the droid and they kinda chill in my floating slot forever.

I thought you already did get a friend? When I completed the quest I got an item called pocket droid or something, and I thought that would let me spawn a droid friend.

Clau / Vyuga, I had the same problem as Ms. Bramble. I was able to disable the mod (and unfortunately had to go back to the bottom of Golgotha :berserk:) to get another waydroid, but it did let me then complete the quest.

From what I saw, I think the quest didn't complete with your mod enabled because for whatever reason the 2nd step of the quest (Find a Dysfunctional Waydroid) didn't complete, but the 1st, 3rd, and 4th did. I'm not 100% sure what made the step not complete, but I think it's because I repaired the waydroid before I picked it up. Maybe it's possible I could have completed the quest with your mod enabled if I went back and picked up one of the non repaired waydroids, but I didn't test that unfortunately.

Hopefully this information might help you track down the issue!

bumping this for being a standout mod, a must include for every run :Emil:

Heyo Ms. Bramble, I can't reproduce the behavior you're encountering! If you see this message, could you throw a more detailed bug report in the bug discussion above, with steps to repro it and a player.log?

If you can tell me when exactly this behavior appears, that'd be real swell, 'cause I've tried a whole bunch of ways to get this bug to appear without any success, ahahah~

Most likely my hic up, actually. Gonna look into this tomorrow morning, thanks for bringing it up!

Something about this is cludging up Ortho's dialogue; it keeps resetting to him giving me the Sparbine so long as the waydroid is in my inventory, and if I wake it up he tells me I need to bring it to him still yet, even after having let me into Grit Gate. I guess the Moon Stair update's to blame?
Clau / Vyuga  [author] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 1:30pm
Ahah, I don't see how this is related to the waydroid, sorry.

Which can be made with the tinker crafting skill and is more reliable.

Yeah, this kind of stuff is how I started delving into Qud modding, and was very surprised to see how much I can acomplish without any actual C# skills!

Super cute and fitting mod. I was surprised how concise and simple (but in an elegant way) the code was/is. I tried messing around with it just to see what I could do, and I do not recommend giving sleepy bot the "Robot" part designation. It only made things difficult. But I added light and point defense to it and it was neat and unbalanced but whatever. It'd be really neat to see some more dialogue/quest interactions with sleepybot. Sleepybot is best bot.
