Ohh haha, this version here is just for aesthetics, especially the Mega One. But i made a Competetive Version as well, you can check that one out, its more optimised for battle :)
Btw. I never thought anyone could get that thing into Campaign-mode, props for you mate.

Bruh, you forget that the Death star was destroyed by Y wings.. Realistically it's meant to destroy fucking planets. OP, thanks for making this. It's neat even if it isn't meta. Not your fault the game decides that death star beams should be weak

Ships this size are never 'competetively' viable. But a ship design costing 4million and not able to best late game ships in campaign is not a good design in my opinion even as a fun design.
And that was the point of the simple design I slapped together:
-no mods
-costs almost 500.000 less than your cheapest design
-less crew needed
-same size

So you kind of missed the point of my initial post. I think you could do better. I will look at that new deathstar and see how it fares

@Ska Bloodtail here you go, i did it, just search for "Competitive Deathstar" on the workshop and you will find it. It can beat every build-in ship and the old Deathstars too. It´s the same size too

Big oof by you. I think you did not get the message behind the builds. They are meant to look good and be fun and not to be competetively viably in any way. I could build a version that is more viable for real combat but that would take a while. But thanks for you suggestion anyway.

PS: The "simple Deathstar design" you put together is like much bigger, uses mods and probably cost WAY more.

Big oof. You have to go back to the drawing board. All your 'deathstar' versions got very quickly turned into scrap metal in a close range frontal fight and barely even made a dent into my ship. Biggest repair cost i had were 50k. this is not a lot since a lot of the danger 17 or danger 18 enemies can dish out more damage before they go down. The design is not good.
Some suggestions:
-Dont use small cores for every single ion beam. The best set up is 8 lasers per large core.
-use large shields for the barrel. even on your strongest design, the death star prototype, the array of small shields didnt even last 2 seconds before they were all down.
-use smaller but more ion cores. that large hole in the middle of your design is a lot of wasted space.

Basically, the death star in star wars has a few "exhaust ports" to expel exhaust from the insane amounts of energy the death star's laser makes. They are designed to be impossible to fly into or shoot down, but space wizard kule fires shots down it anyway which hits the core and blows it up. I know what your issue biggest design flaw ever how could you??? you need an exhaust port and you'll have limitless power just a solid unshielded one by one to your core it'll solve all your issues and cmoooonnn the odd of hitting that thing please you would have to be some kind of space wizard.

Well Juliking, if i understand you right you want to focus the lasers from the 3 Main Laser-batteries into one single prism? I actually thought about that but you loose an extra 25% power if you focus 3 prisms into 1. The other thing you said is to remove the middle shaft prisms but if you do that the laser is weaker because it starts way further back. Am i right about your ideas? If not maybe explain them a little more precisely :)

i suggest removeing 2 of the prisims in the middle shaft to do more dmg and just focus all middle prisms on one or remove the shaft prisims entirely nice design tho :D
