(sorry for the bad english)
Ultimately it's up to Valve to pick what they want in game. Last year they wanted a refresher of an old map, and it was a popular choice. If they do it again this year that's up to them, but I'm not holding my breath. I did this for fun, like all of my projects.
Reskins are completely fine. There are lots of people who prefer reskins because the gameplay stays the same, and does not introduce any bs like some Halloween maps do.
Seriously, go find something more productive to do. Your absence ain't gonna make your wishes come true, other than show how insulting and offended brat you are.
My point is that Snowy Gravelpit is a lazy snow reskin that was pumped out with minimal effort just like Doublefrost last year, and due to your name and status in the community it'll inevitably get far more attention than it deserves in terms of quality, most likely added, and only serve to further bog down the map pool with unoriginal low effort garbage and take away spots from others who may have actually tried.
You can dislike my opinion all you want, but I believe I'm objectively right here. Ask yourself if Snowy Gravelpit took longer than a week to make.
I'm just riding that joke map attention from a decade ago.
It's okay though, I remember when I first got into the scene seeing the people who had been around for awhile getting all the attention and being frustrated because it felt like it was unfair. But I matured and grew up and realized they put in their time to get to that point, it's not just handed to people, despite only seeing the end results. So stay salty, you'll get there someday.
And I made TWO dumb joke maps 10 years ago that got popular. 😘
The only reason I can make these relatively quick is because I've put over a decade into learning this stuff, and nearly all of my big projects haven't gotten in. But yeah, just riding on my name... How'd I get that name, by the way?
