Hey, is adding assets possible for something like this? and If so...could we ever get Cypresses?
Some parts of of this map look like they could benefit from the addition of cypresses in a variety of sizes.

'Stygia' though an invention of Howard comes from the word 'Stygian' meaning to ' of or related to the river styx' ( which means "Shuddering") that being of course the river along which Charon ferries the dead to the underworld .
It turns out there are actually a few real candidates for the river styx, all in the more arid parts of Greece

the point being that at least in terms of canon, cypresses wouldn't be out of place if you have the assets. I own the bazaar cypress but it's one size, quite small and a bit too bright green.

nothing like the ones in classical paintings.

Snowhunter, this...this is a gorgeous map. I just had to stop by and compliment it. I might like to see more of the physics-sand in desert areas and some of the savanna grass in places, as well as some of the air pockets seen in the sunken city but outside these things things this is just a better map than the exiled lands which have too many biomes and biomes that are really too small.

Please keep up the great work. This is just a lot of fun.

Hello Everyone I am still working hard on this map mod solo. Yes there are others listed however they do not work full time with me on the map. They contributed a small portion of help. There is a lot to be done. I am by myself so it takes a while and I have a few Irons in the fire at the moment. Yes I cant seem to find "Enough Iron to put into the fire" Hint climb mountains!!!

Finally found a named thrall that could be knocked out and put on the wheel. Am I correct in thinking that there are sources of iron and coal added to the map?

Are there ANY possible thralls? It seems like either gold barred (normally concussionable, but not in this map) or varying skulls, or merchants.

Sure, from the last, you can buy a few worthless T1-2, but without any possible challenge, it just fails to engage.

Why should I bother to explore if there is no way to achieve any advancement? There is no reward for careful, cautious play, just some very minimal and underwhelming "reward", that frankly is just not worth the effort.

Yes, I know you intend this to be difficult, but there is a distinct difference between a challenge and an artificial wall that is arbitrary and non-intuitive.

Perhaps there could be at least SOME in between?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this mod very much, and do appreciate the difficulty factor- but if there is no way to organically advance, it feels more like a chore than a challenge.

This mod is wonderfully built, absolutely beautiful and definitely satisfies the itch for more Stygian content. Is there more planned to round it out? the cities are thus far empty as of 3/2025 which, given how gorgeous they are feels odd. Not very many interactive NPCs, would love to see more added!

Q? Are you the one who created Jewels of Stygia? If so, I absolutely love the mod. And if so, could you create more of the "Eygptian Gods like Isis, Osiris, Ra, Horus, etc al in a large, medium & small sizes. Perhaps some covered in gold, etc.

I think I found a bug - kinda ? There is this location called the Ancient Chamber of Set on the M-line and I think the map location icon is bleeding over to other maps. I found the same "location" on the Exiled Lands map near the spider cave (just a bit south of Skittering Cavern) but there is no point of interest, just the discovery notice and the same map marker as on Stygia.

I recommend exploring the lower part of the map. In some places until my eyes came out of admiration, it looks so great! I won't spoil or give exact coordinates you have to find it yourselves. Btw, this map in a short time if completed will compete with SAVAGE WILDS. Greetings to the moderators!

So far been having fun exploring and not having many issues. Noted some brushes not meeting up and objects floating. Posted the images on Imagur for the brushes not meeting up. Have more for you to check out snowhunter but will have to wait until after work. Will have to do that Discord thing to be more helpful. Used to mod some maps for old AvP2 Lithtech engine. Look forward to watching more of your videos helping out finding issues on the map.

This map is intended to be a challenge. The Idea of having mounts is a nice way to travel. There is no fast travel. Brimstone is in the ocean near Islands thru hot water vents. The idea of this map is a role playing map where players will trade and exchange resources and transport them across vast distances. A walking simulator funny the comments of a few voices and the hard-work that has gone into this map! I have been building it solo and a few moments of some help along the way from some friends. I thank those of you who appreciate the hard work that has gone into this Map.

I have been playing this the last few days, and really enjoy the map. It's not complete yet, obviously, but the parts that have been fleshed out are quite amazing. I just feel blessed to have stumbled upon iron (by accident, really). It's a difficult map, and I spend a lot more time running than I would on Siptah or the default map- but I suppose that is intentional ;) Once again, thank you for the work you have put into this.

This is a gorgeous map however the lvl ot iron and coal scarcity is redicoulus to the point of masahistical if continuing to play on this map :-/
I hope that the author will revisit his desigion on this :)

Actually there is a nice spot at the Fortess of Dead, not too far North to the initial spawn. Both coal and iron. I didn't find anything under water though. No brimstone, either. So far most of my advanced materials are obtained by dismantling stuff looted from chests and mobs.

Did anyone find brimstone ? I know it drops from the boss rocknoses but that will not trigger the "steelsmith" journey step. For that I need to mine a brimstone vein.

I think the dearth of basic ressources is an issue. It kinda cockblocks any larger building projects. Unless the map is designed with building via admin console in mind.

I like the wide open map design. It needs more stuff though, in order to have a reason to traverse all that space. But it's a good start.

Actually the first set of resources is in the starting area of the map. The islands underwater and if you pay attention to hints ship wrecks are important. The Empire of Stygia is designed to be a challenge and not hand out me resources and etc. Thanks for your input.

This is a custom map mod. It does not work with the exiles map or any exiles mods that edit map. Its a complete separate map, it does not support the exiles map or siptah map.

dear author, a simple question really i host a server called "age of pharoah" and i remember using this mod on a single player. if my memory serves me correct worked in conjunction with the exiles map. ive placed this mod on my server really hoping to have these pyramids back, and it loaded a whole new map!!! is it possible the 2 maps be combined empire and exile map?

As I tend to be a big fan of ancient history, heck my name is taken from Greek lore. A stygian map like this does have my interest. Hoping to hear more about updates on it, like thrall camps and the like in the future.

It looks awesome very nicely done. Would it be possible to add this to the south of the existing map so we can travel through the desert south and go there instead of replacing the existing one?
