Damn good work! Thank you
My only other mild criticism would be the fan puzzle - not sure if I missed the clues but I had to solve this by trial and error. I saw no real pattern to the 1 red, 3 yellow, 1 white wires and the order.
Overall 9/10 from me. Thank you for all the hard work put into this.
I haven't hit any of the issues mentioned, so maybe this is a new one. I quit the game yesterday in He Hungers, and on resuming today I had some missing textures (orange ERROR blocks). The game was playable up to the point where you need Jeff to make the train fall (I know about this from Skummeh's walkthru video), but the floor you need Jeff to stand on to trigger the train's fall is missing, so the Xen grenades fall straight through and so don't make enough noise to attract him
I placed grenades carefully on the letters of the ERROR block where the floor should be, but Jeff won't move far enough into the train to trigger its descent.
I've tried verifying the game files, so now I'm unsubscribing and resubscribing in the hope that that might help. I'll report back either way.
Thanks again. There've been some great ones before this, but the new interactions with Russell make this something really special.
I had the disabled AI bug, but fortunately I saw a comment about ai_setenabled 1 and that saved my run 3 or 4 times. The train level made my computer want to blow up. (3080 TI). One other bug I had was, unfortunately, at the very end. G Man was like half a foot in the ground when he was on the stairs. Really took me out of the experience. Also, G Man doesn't look at me, he seems to have a fixed point for his eye-line.
The level design was great, absolute joy to play. The way Jeff was integrated was perfect. I'm to the point that he doesn't scare me at all in the main game, but you brought back the terror! . Animations were pretty nice, as was the voice acting. The open environments were also a joy to marvel at.
Overall, this was stellar work. 9 / Alyx.
Thank you!
