This mod adds a ton of useless trinkets that give bonus damage vs Ectomorphs even if you don't have them installed. This is my favorite modded class by a landslide but it would be amazing if you could remove these when you get the time, also change the damage bonuses on the character to be for the Unholy type. Otherwise, amazing mod, super cool class, great job.

I know this mod has been out for a while, but I'm surprised no one has commented about the fact that his effects still specify ectomorphs when this version exists to be played without them. I would've expected that it might have been changed to maybe have him work against unholy instead, so that aspect of him isn't just rendered null

This is a pretty solid mod I didnt know I wanted a ranged scientist character with magical tech until now

is it possible to download this version of the beyond mortality mod and disable the original version without losing your save file's current Paracausalists? I find the ectomorphs kinda annoying but I don't wanna lose my Paracausalists

I know it's late, but if you do end up editing it, I must ask you refrain from having the Narrator say the "Order of the Blue Flame" or the "Vril capacitor" since the style based on the style in the narrator speaks, there is a certain vagueness to it.

@Ixmore I do like it! I was just writing rough ideas, you made them sound like they could be actual voice lines! I'd just swap mentions of the 'Society' for the word 'Order', since the society is called the Order of the Blue Flame.

@Golden Yak it could be possible to incorporate it with AI voices now being a thing and I think narrator's voices has a certain monotone to it that shouldn't be too hard to replicate. Also, If you don't mind me making a few adjustments to the sequence, here's my correction.

@Ixmore Great question, I actually wrote up a thing for this, as if he had a 5 chapter sequence in DD2.

1: A student of sciences, the Paracausalist is inducted into a secret society, the Order of the Blue Flame, and dispatched to explore a recently excavated ruin.
2: Recovering the Vril Artifact from ancient ruins while avoiding restless angry Ectomorphs haunting it.
3: The Paracausalist returns to the order, but secretly keeps the Vril Artifact from his superiors, overcome with visions of a glorious machine.
4: Assembling the artifact into the Vril Engine and using it against the Ectomorphs the engine inadvertently calls.
5: After artifacts go missing from their vaults, agents of the Order break into the Paracausalist's workshop, finding schematics and notes, but not their rogue artificer...

@Golden Yak Since Facing your failure's seems to be a theme in DD2, what would the Paracausalist's failure be? Maybe his story could take place before he found the "Vril Fork"

@ KingFourth Depending on how hard it winds up being to mod, I would love to put Paracausalist (and Ectomorphs) into DD2. Dust off those 3D model texturing, rigging, and animation skills.

From your last comment you definitely seem quite busy now-a-days. However, if you do find the time to play around with mods, have you considered adding the Paracausalist to Darkest Dungeon 2? This class of yours was one of my favorites by far. If not then I totally understand.

@ TheRoboticRabbit - Yes, I wish I had made more progress on things. I don't want to say I will never add to this mod, I think about it constantly, but my creative effort is tied up in my own business now that I am very heavily invested in. I hope one day I can continue.
