You need to search Gmod for an Alyx replacement mod.

how do you replace the model i dont if i need to do something or just leave it alone

As long as it has Episodic files within it, it should work with any Alyx replacement.

does this work with helmetless combine assassin alyx?

Yes they do both, but I can't say they address all the Episodic content issues themselves since all I did was mess with the Alyx related files and nothing else. But it requires an Alyx replacement to work properly. Without one Alyx herself will have issues.

I'm a little confused on what this is supposed to do.

Does it fix all of the issues that most people have when playing the HL:E1-2 maps along with the ability to replace Alyx with a different person,

or does it fix certain things that allow Alyx replacement mods?
