Do to the unique nature of the straight shields it's possible that they may have a bug.
However I played with a classic mod. (Star trek themed) that had a weapon that not only blow up the barrier but the shield generator too. No matter how much armor you had.
I'll need more information on how the shield is getting damaged.
should be fixed now or very soon.
I mean, I just don't let myself use it until I unlock larger shields, but it should be a further research beyond that, haha
The purpose of this mod is to streamline shield creative design to help get away form those boring arches. Because not all spacecraft are round they come in a variety of shapes and sizes that a simple circle may or may not cover which is the true intention of this mod.
And to poke a mild fun at the CIRCLE 360 shield mods that showed up on day1 launch. but hey not everyone wants to deal with 20 different modules.
That you could then use, to build a ship with a shield that better fits its shape?
i love the mod, i just figured i'd take a shot because i like things being flush.
Thanks again i look forward to seeing what else you add!
Hmm. One could argue that they aren't supposed to be used in pairs but what I would do for a fix is to swap the shield modules. Have the left one project to the right. And the right project to the left. And if your trying to go full circle have the bottom project to the top. And the top project to the bottom.
I'll need to do some small tweaks but you shouldn't really be putting them right next to each other.
