yes, revolution indeed removes the "sins of the past" and rejuvenate the national spirit. the balancing comes from the fact that while under revolution, one is really really vulnerable to foreign intervention...

Yeah, I mean in terms of MP balance I would have some worry about railroading the game with so many negative modifiers and hard objectives. It would be cool/nice if there were ways of "redemption" to allow for one to sort of rejuvinate their national spirit and remove some of the maluses from failure upon later completing them or doing something more impressive, though it does seem like you can wipe them sometimes (?) on a successful revolution, which is a potentially interesting strategic option

@mccain: you are actually right - it is quite difficult to balance things out between not-breaking the ai and preventing mp players to have "hug-boxes". i'm expanding/fine tuning the objectives, let's see what it can be done. thx for feedback!

Also could probably tone down the amount of strategic objectives for a few nations e.g. France. AI had so many negative prestige modifiers they dropped to major and got added to the Italian market despite being double their GDP (third worldwide) and an otherwise decent state

bankruptcy stuff is brutal but I do enjoy "tactically" bankrupting myself so it hurts the AI neighbors more than me

Every five years the player gets an event to select the government agenda. Options are linked to which interest groups are ruling the country. Every options will start a journal entry, with 4 years expiry, based on the interest group ideology. Selecting an option will also change a random leader ideology in accordance... I hope you'll enjoy this! ;-)

@TrJacobin - this mod is permanently worked on, and will be updated for each new release of the basic game. :D
We're also _constantly_ looking for new multiplayer gamers (on CET timezone), so if anyone is looking for a game, send me a message!

regarding the mod hindering: i'm going to remove the capital requirements soon, as i found out a different mean to break the infinite construction loop... ;-)

@caliBlueBear: the base game can be broken by building 4 x iron mines, 2 x coal mines, 1 x tool factories and 1 x construction workshops in a perpetual infinite loop. Debts and funding is irrelevant, as you'll never reach the debt ceiling, as each "cycle" will increase the cap more and more and more, also increasing your financing from private sources and gdp
