for ur first map, it was pretty nice.
we had fun
BUT.. FOR THE ORANGE PORTAL
this mirror on the box, made me mad, bc there was no indication, no key item symbol and i was so confused. but still, was nice, the end was creative with using the rooms once again :)
Those thousands of red herrings confused me a little bit :-) Why the heck can I put on the glasses? My partner was able to see the glasses when I had them on through the walls :-)
Unfortunately, after having eventually entered the appartement, I made some unintended move, found me back in the final level (having suddenly white walls like massive overexposure) and found no way to get into the appartement again. This felt a little bit like not having really won :-(
After all: great work! Thank you for your work.
Marcus.
Sorry to hear that guys! I've looked and tested and it should work, it seems like you got a random bug that I don't know how to fix since I can't recreate it.
Beware of this room for even mildly colorblind folks
Thanks for the feedback, I've made it easier to figure out.
Thanks for playing! I realized this after some feedback. I'm sorry about that, fixed it so it's easier to figure out for blue.
All the other puzzles were great though.
Last Blue puzzle felt more confusing because the colour keypad enters numbers and the post-it prompts us to count dots; we were trying to generate a numerical code instead of just enter three colours in the correct order. If the keypad output colours, or it was more clearly signalled that we were trying to determine a colour order - rather than - numbers, we'd not have got as stuck. As the second two clues were also used in the Red Side answer, and the Red side answer was standalone from Blue, it was also not intuitive to reuse those cues in solving Blue - we felt we'd been prompted to find some combination of numbers from the dots as a clue.
Haha. I'm sorry about the battery! Since this was my first map, and that was the first room I worked on, I probably clicked on different things to try and learn what they did and forgot to deselect it as a key(fixed now!).
The last puzzle my friends also had problem solving, it was meant to be a bit harder to solve but since it took them a while I tried and make it easier to solve by adding that post it and adding the green dots to the shirt with the numbers 10.
I went in and fixed the merge on the jeans slot.
About the names: That's true, and I will keep that in mind in the future. Also went in and fixed this.
I feel you, and I love those things as well. I feel like I didn't work on details enough and just wanted my friends to play this map, it was supposed to be an short map but ended up spending 25+ hours on it.. But the next map I will work more on the 'feel' and details of the playthrough!
Thanks a lot!
Oh and you can also press the button behind the pillow maker 3000 if you hug the side of the cabinet. This should be easily fixed if you put an obstacle around it to stop people from getting too close.
A small thing as well to help prevent players from spending time on finished puzzles is to use the merge option on key slots such as the jeans on the laundry basket.
Loved the use of the animal heads as the lower jaw for the jackal statues as well as your painted fence. Good luck with your future rooms!
Thanks for letting me know. Forgot to put it back when bugtesting. It's fixed now!
Thank you for your note!
I played the map with two friends and noticed the problem with the power lever, and also some other things that I will try and fix.
Also noted that some parts were maybe too hard to figure out, so I will try and adjust those parts as well.
