Sounds good to me. I've tested and not faced any issues either; only I cannot see how/why a mod would be mandatory by an asset if its function is not needed.
I'll blame my lack of programming knowledge and just proceed..

@CassiBerlin I have not heard of or faced issues with sub-buildings enabler mod. It is deprecated by the reason that the base-game is including the function. Some old assets were not updated.

You can subscribe for Sub-buildings enabler mod until you place the building and then unsubscribe if you are afraid or do not want to see all time "unsubscribe" section in your Compatibility Report

I'm a huge fan of the DOEL Power plant, but I'm hesitant to use it with Sub-buildings enabler mod due to Chameleon's sceptical comment (highly respected member of the modding community).
Have you actually heard of/ faced issues with sub-buildings enabler mod (since depreceated)?
