NOT WORKING anymore. ffs
The Crow 3 Apr @ 3:30pm
Can you make one that you inherit the dominant genes but keep the other partner genes too vanilla like, like all dominant and random non dominant
aidenjshafer2011 20 Mar @ 6:13pm
i shall now make a viltrumite with this
Itsuko 10 Mar @ 7:59am
could we get one where it's endogene only and prevents any xenogenes from being added?
Huehuecóyotl 22 Jan @ 8:36pm
Does this add the Dominant gene dynamically as pawns are generated or do I need to add it manually? I have mods that add custom genotypes and I'm trying to find a mod to just nullify the hybrid system entirely and make offspring be either of the parent's genotype.
Parciwel 30 Dec, 2024 @ 9:18am
@Dokomni @ArchAngel the BetterGeneInheritance mod already does this. It adds a gene that, if both parents have it, it chooses one of them. It also adds a dominant and recessive, as well as a primary and secondary gene. Basically it's an expansion of this mod.
Dokomni 24 Dec, 2024 @ 5:46pm
i second the last person's request, there is not a single mod on the workshop that seems to allow the simple picking of a random xenotype when passing on genes
ArchAngel 16 Nov, 2024 @ 8:15pm
Could you create an option in which, instead of mixing genes, the mod picks one of the two parents to copy? I think it would work well for a sexually dimorphic xenotype.
With say bigger stronger males and smaller more supportive females.
I tried coding it myself with your GitHub, but it turns out coding is hard ^^"

Seems to be working fine for me in 1.5, though I don't have anomaly yet to test that
PHCGamer 7 May, 2024 @ 2:46pm
Those genes (and the ones from better gene inheritance, which I have) don't enforce xenotype, just genes. This mod enforces xenotype. This is critical for biotech's interactions with ideology.
Sero 7 May, 2024 @ 9:49am
"Vanilla Races Expanded - Highmate" comes with a gene which does the same as this one.
CherryPicker modif you really only wat that gene.
PHCGamer 1 May, 2024 @ 4:04pm
Can anyone verify if this works in 1.5?
AlteredBeast 7 Apr, 2024 @ 9:02am
will there be an update?^^
Tonic 5 Dec, 2023 @ 3:20am
will this make germline genes overwrite xenogenes? im looking for something with that function
StoryTaleBooks 4 Sep, 2023 @ 9:35am
My archite genes are modded to be just like other genes, they inherit no problem
Kokorocodon 14 Jul, 2023 @ 7:50am
archite genes can't be inhereted, they are nanomachines in your body.
kishlaysingh0414 3 Jul, 2023 @ 2:54pm
does it work for archite genes?
overgrown palico 27 Jun, 2023 @ 6:00pm
you mean recessive?
Flamme Sanabi 7 May, 2023 @ 10:06am
Where is the submissive gene?
Dallas Dog 22 Feb, 2023 @ 5:49pm
Thanks for mod.

As I said before, contact me if you want to order addition.
Sairus323 14 Feb, 2023 @ 10:22pm
Can you also add "recessive gene" gene so if pawn have it will make other parent to pass all their genes to children?
So for example i have dominant (d), normal(n) and recesive(r) pawn
So:
D+n=d
D+r=d
N+r=n
D+d, n+n or r+r results in vanilla behaviour
Auranim 14 Feb, 2023 @ 8:59am
Done ;)
MIS42NE  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 8:41am
Sl4vP0weR#0404 contact me in Discord, we can discuss it there.
Auranim 14 Feb, 2023 @ 8:39am
Ordered as in... a paid mod? If so, where? And how much for this extension? ...I'm considering :)
MIS42NE  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 6:55am
There's source code of this mod so it would be easy to do something like this if you order it from someone else.
MIS42NE  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 6:54am
Ummm, this mod was ordered, no suggestions taken.
You can order it as an extension from me or anyone else if you want.
Auranim 14 Feb, 2023 @ 6:38am
I fourth this and second Owyen's comment. If this behavious is implemented, then this would essentially be a dominant/recessive functionality this system sorely needs. Can you make that happen, @MIS42NE?
Titan 4 Feb, 2023 @ 8:51am
I third this, this could be an easy way to make a species with actual gender dimorphism.
Lilly 3 Feb, 2023 @ 3:47pm
i second what ihih is asking. been trying to find a way to have the same race, but with gender specific traits that dont mix, and I cant figure out how do do it
MIS42NE  [author] 31 Jan, 2023 @ 10:51am
It would be easy.
Owyen 31 Jan, 2023 @ 9:02am
How difficult would it be to make it to where two dominate parents resulted in a coin flip?
MIS42NE  [author] 14 Jan, 2023 @ 9:17pm
strict from dominant, if both are dominant - there would be default behaviour.
Milky 14 Jan, 2023 @ 10:45am
nice! I was looking for something like this, does the child still inherit some from other parent or is it strictly dominant pawns genes?
SharpChipmunk 13 Jan, 2023 @ 11:04pm
Viltrumite intensifies

Sl4vP0weR#0404
Contact me in discord, we can discuss about your idea there.
ihih 7 Jan, 2023 @ 7:37am
That's not what I mean by gender-specific genes. I want it so that if I have race x (the male-locked xenotype) have a child with race y (the female-locked xenotype) it will pick a random parent's genes instead of mixing the two. I'm already using a gender-lock mod but I don't want it to mix the genes.
MIS42NE  [author] 6 Jan, 2023 @ 6:19pm
Not sure, but I saw something like that in the workshop, somebody already did this.
ihih 6 Jan, 2023 @ 1:11pm
how much
ihih 6 Jan, 2023 @ 12:48pm
How do you enable that? I'm trying to make gender-specific genes
MIS42NE  [author] 30 Dec, 2022 @ 10:15pm
@waefynder yes
waefynder 30 Dec, 2022 @ 9:43pm
Is it possible to make it so that if both parents have the dominant gene, the child will be 50/50 between either xenotype instead of random genes?
Rince 11 Dec, 2022 @ 12:09am
I asked for this, now i can play Invincible in rimworld
MIS42NE  [author] 7 Dec, 2022 @ 3:46pm
@Ghost, it's possible, but this mod was ordered, you can order your idea as addition.
Umbra 7 Dec, 2022 @ 5:27am
hi, would it be possible to make a gene that does the opposite - so that child would not inherit a gene from a parent unless both parents have it? like this (i'll call this theoretical gene 'R'):
Parent1: RXYZ
Parent2: RXYZ
Child: RXYZ

Parent1: RXYZ
Parent2: ABC
Child: ABC

Parent1: RXY
Parent2: RYZ
Child: RY

Parent1: RXYZ
Parent2: RABC
Child: R or just Baseline?

I'm not familiar how gene inheritance is designed and if it will be too difficult to do or just not possible
42kitter 5 Dec, 2022 @ 8:57pm
works almost perfectly now, but skin color still gets added from the non-dominant parent. glad this works now!
Sera 5 Dec, 2022 @ 8:38pm
@se05239
Why did steam not send me your message that is amazing thank you. Now I can actully make my own breed of xeno.
