Yeah, even if the launcher says "outdated".
I still don't know if this change to the Steam Tank Turret's hatch door position is either a bug or an intended and permanent change that CA "forgot" to communicate.
As such I have decided to "fix" the issue by forcing the hatch to stay half opened and vertical as it should be.
The thing is that I manage to replicate the same issue with vanilla Steam tanks.
It's currently unclear to me if this is a bug or yet another change from CA: I'm still not sure if I need to fix this by myself or wait for another CA's hotfix.
I'll keep you posted.
I´m on a Malakai campaign atm and noticed a bug. Maybe it comes from a conflict with other mods, but I noticed when upgrading either the smithy or the engineering building from T4 to T5 i can no longer recruit the tanks in that region.
No, not from me at least.
As it stated in the QA's section of this mod at the "Any chance to get units/heroes/lords on top of those tanks?" question, I made it clear that I generally don't care for custom mounts.
You can recruit this unit with Malakai through the Dwarf Engineer and the Spirit of Grungni's Artillery Workshop building chains, though.
I'll update/fix my mods when I'll be able.
Have some patience.
Fixing my Steam Tank mods will probably take additional time considering what was changed.
I have already found a replacement, but since I still need to know the shipment data and because of other shenanigans going on, I can't give you an exact ETA on when I'll be back.
You have my full permission to take and update any of my mods, but keep in my mind that I'll be back eventually and I'm going to update the OG ones.
Now I know that some of you might want to leave a comment to cheer me up or ask me some questions but please DO NOT do that and keep the comment section clean so that people can read this comment and understand why I'm not updating my stuff.
Thanks for all the support and see you again when my new rig arrives.
Submod linked in description.

I simply took inspiration from ChaosRobie's Dwarf Juggernaut mod and then worked with the Dwarf's battering ram vanilla model by adding stuff and remapping the ram's skeleton to fit the steam tank's skeleton.
If you want something that resembles ChaosRobie's Dwarf Juggernaut more closely (visually speaking) you should give Snek's Dawi Thunder and its Grudge Tank a shot.
That process is either managed by specific tables or scripts.
It's not the same thing but consider using these mods if you like rune systems:
-Runes of the Karaz Ankor - Unit Upgrades for the Dwarfs https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2861146358
-Runes of the Karaz Ankor Submod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2884052465 which make these custom units compatible with that system.
If it's going to actually recruit them or not it's entirely up to the AI though.
The closest thing to a Dwarf Steam Tank in lore is the Dwarf Juggernaut from second edition.
Running this with the Thunderbarge mod will be incredible
Thank you for the permission to use your assets in a compilation!
You are free to use any of my assets if you like something out of there :)
You'll have to wait for a mount submod.
Well at least IF someone makes one, since I generally don't make custom mount mods (and this one would probably also need some meddling with the unit's animation and I also don't make custom animations) so don't expect a mount submod from me.
Does the Engineer get mount options?
You should have expected some jank.
I'm sorry that you don't like the mod but if I could have fixed that stuff on my own I would have done so BEFORE releasing the mod itself.
I'm just an amateur here, so if you want great looking units with no jank I suggest you to stick with CA and/or professional modders.
I'm very open with my content though so you can put my stuff in any compilation you want, use/alter my custom assets, make any kind submods ecc...
You have my permission.
Might be worth it to ask on The Modders Den or asking the Dwarf Borer guy, Phoenix, about the animations. It might just be that someone will want to help you out with animations.
I am talking to people ATM, thinking of maybe making a compilation of the best Dwarf mods (for better compatibility, taking less space on people's modlists, easier support etc), obviously only if the modders want to participate. There is only so much you can do by yourself, and it can be better to play to people's strengths. For example, I can do graphical work, but I hate working with the tables. I collaborated with Derpy Noob and our mod inspired a YouTuber with 70K subscribers to make a video about it :)
I know that some people prefer to work alone, but I would rather do unit cards, icons and textures for 5 different units than spend hours to learn how to make animations work.
If you are interested, let me know in DM!
I still hope to eventually see ChaosRobie's Dwarf Juggernaut mod ported here on this workshop though.
@n.pedrazalis I would really like to put thunderers/similar units on them but that's most likely not possible without meddling with the units' animation.
And I don't make custom animations.
