And dad was airforce and i got to see them in person doing practice attack runs at targets... sound and blast was insane! The rounds pretty big for a GUN also! Have one that missfired "ya bad idea give to a kid but what can i say lol" in storage from one of their runs :-)
Add the gun from the warthog! It would work on a small grid not sure on large grid but would also be sweet. But thing about it is to balance the massive dammage it can do "Its not super accurate, its a spray and pray with 1,000s of rounds per second lol" is make it size limiting. As in "for life om me drawing blank on fixed weapons sizes block wise.." But lets say normal fixed gun would be 2 blocks BODY and 4 Blocks Barrel. Make body like 6 blocks and barrel around 6 as well for example. Many dont know the plane is just built around the weapon. More a platform to move the gun then a "system" on the plane. Plane IS the gun lol
I think majority will vote keep same name as is. I dont know how set up settings in this game for a mod.. But wuld a small toggle be doable to change display name but not SUBID? Im thinking would need add new subid.. which defeats purpose of keeping ID's the same as is so doesnt cause conflics.
But now adays your likey get quizical looks if say rotary, but people will know what your mean if say gatling. Though probably due to old mafia movies and such in US with the tommy gun. "Ok wasnt exactly mafia but ya lol"
The subtypeID name will need to stay gatling gun or its gonna cause ID issues

I agree with dragon, more people would recognise gatling over rotary.
I'll look into a small minigun for update 7
-(suggestion)change Gatling gun/cannon/turret to rotary gun/cannon/turret(as it's more technically correct(the best kind of correct))
-(request, if it isnt already a thing and/or planned) a small grid minigun that takes rifle magazines similar to the micro rotary cannon turrets
Thinking more inline as close in anti fighter/missile systems. Or "npc/pests" defenses. Dont need to be able handle a dreadnuaght hehe But if could be anti missile/small drone turrets be great.
• remove the computer, steel plate, and H2 bottles from the missiles
• lower the radius on the stinger missile
• up the materials needed for all the turrets
• up the range for the gatling guns
• up the damage + range for the tri barrel gatling
• double the explosive rounds for the snippers
• Lower/Rework small grid inventory sizes on all guns
