I tested it and yep, using it as standalone in 4.0 works! Which is great, now I can listen to turian daddy growling in my ear <3

@Dan.llama what Maul said - and also, DO NOT use this with BTR.

We already integrate the advisors into the overhaul and there is a chance that using both at the same time might cause an issue.

I know I'm late to the game here since I only recently discovered the modpack. But I have to say everything about this absolutely delights me.

and the last few seconds of that 1.0 trailer......I cried. I didn't know how strongly hearing Mark Meer's voice would pull at my desire to be back. And it will be good to be back.

@Lachklen - as far as I'm aware this shouldn't interfere with Ironman. We did add something that made IM impossible, but since removed it. So if you are still having that as an issue let me know.

@White Dzinko - also there won't be any indication the mod is working until you edit the advisor of an empire during the Empire selection.

@WhiteDzinko that is very strange, you are sure you aren't accidentally running the main mod with the individual releases? I can't think of what would be causing the mods to not show up otherwise.

Are you using any other mods with them? I can't think of anything that'd not be compatible but you never knoa

None of the mods work for me, even individually. I run them in the game, but they just don't work, vanilla Stellaris starts

P.S.A in general for everyone is don't use the standalone releases with this mod - something will likely break as the stand alones are included in this

@Ulthar and you aren't using the standalones with this mod are you? Only thing I can guess is something on your end must be causing it to break - as this hasn't been touched since N7 and I haven't heard of anything breaking yet.

The fact that the Batarian works fine is strange because it is just a rip of the batarian from this into a separate folder

In the meantime or event we can't avoid it, if you are interested in still using BtA, it's super simple for you to restore it's UI only status- go into the mod folder (Should be something like D:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\288562241) and delete the common and events folders. That'll get things back to how they were prior to the update. Hope that helps!

@Dreka - sorry for the super delayed response, but that makes a lot of sense, I hadn't considered the difficulties that would introduce when we took that approach. When we look at the next update to BtA we'll review and see if we can find a cleaner way to do it that doesn't cause any issues.

@Puckhead73 @Zeverance I appreciate the replies. It only came to my attention when I was suddenly unable to join a multiplayer game - I had this mod in my "UI Only" playset. I completely understand the need for the event given the use case. Hopefully it's something that can be worked around eventually, but for now I'll keep this disabled. Thanks again!

@Dreka - Zev nailed it - it's just one added event that is entirely on the backend to help clarify compatibility and the installed state of any of BtR's submods, as they are already integrated and having the individual submods installed as well causes some messy issues.

@Dreka This might be due to a flag we added so that the main mod can read that it's installed. We will research it to make sure that is the case. If it is, I'll chat with the other leads of BtR and see if we can work around it!

Not sure why, but either a recent update to Stellaris or the recent update to this mod has caused it to start altering the checksum. I wouldn't expect that from an advisor-only mod but this isn't specifically flagged as Ironman safe, so I'll let you be the judge of whether it's a problem or not.

@Panik Having a Shep advisor was our very first request, but Mark wasn't comfortable with the idea, as he felt it would potentially be too much of an encroachment on BioWare's rights.

Where can I get the Mass Effect Species Pack? I'm looking for all known Mass Effect Species to add to my game play, including ships if they are out there, can anyone help me?
