The mod for the moment seems to be abandoned, so I've updated, harmonised and integrated this into my Reform & Revolution mod. All credits and respects to the OG 🙏

Requires people to be subscribed to this mod in order to function since I want to show support (and is credited in the description of my mod).

Why does it change ideology to Radical in the event of failure? That makes no sense.

There is a small typo inside the events/Assassination.txt

ig:ig_petty_bourgeoisies instead of ig_petty_bourgeoisie on line 168

Seems to brake the leader changing ideology if failed and the negative modifier to the approval

Yeah, thanks for confirming that! Deleting the file mentioned fixes the opinion modifier issue until the mod is updated.

Mod still works fine, it just breaks all IG opinion modifiers as it rewrites 03_event_ig_opinion_modifiers.txt file, I guess author forgot to rename it.

it would be nice if we had to wait for a while for the outcome, the new leader might not be fond of us, and we had to wait for a long time in otder to plot another assasination.

a suggestion for a mod would be to retire a group leader, so you get less bad effects, but a guarantee to do it, and hopefully you can pick what the next group leaders trait is

Very handy mod for a very strict game. I did a couple of times on my last campaign and all were sucessful. Perhaps instead of 80/20 with very high penatly, change to 50/50 but with mild penalties that get worse as they stack. So if player decides to try again and fail a second time, he will perhaps regret insisting on making things worse.

Your mod completely overwrites 03_event_ig_opinion_modifiers.txt, which breaks an awful lot of vanilla events. It seems to work if you just name that file anything else.

played a few runs, noticed that after asassinating some political groups, events that flared where it would positively or negatively effect them didnt. it showed the interest groups in the decisions but
it was just blank on the modifier description part. its a slight bug, its not game breaking necessarily but as japan got 50 million loyalist and no way to decrease that besides more assassinations to get people a certain ideology. suggest another glance at this.

-idk if this is the case but decision should only be available under censorship but with 60/40 odds, at outlawed dissent, the modifiers as is. maybe under some governments like theocratic maybe or autocratic.
-someone mentioned but assassination of all figures, generals, leaders, heirs.
-assassinate neighboring political figures, only available to zones you have interest in, same effects as now where it just hurts political parties. I dont want that to be broken, if failed they get negative relations
-infamy, maybe we should get a small tiny amount when we get caught.

Thanks! Hi! Is there a way to create a mod that just removes a trait from my ruler? It's boring to spend decades with a ruler who has a terrible trait, as this is a game that only lasts 100 years.

What if success % is based on current laws / institutions in place. So a more autocratic government with a strong military police / internal suppression will have a higher chance of success than an egalitarian state with protected rights etc.

Once you make it into an expedition-like process, bad traits like addictions and health conditions should probably provide unique events/options. Others like "Cautious", should probably make things more difficult.

how about a 60-40 split? 60 percent it succeeds, 40 it doesnt---so it's still an option you can take, but the risk chance is a bit higher
