But now? Now I have a new pc, and said new PC can run Frackin. gg

@KirbyFreak -> I dunno if I pushed that change on the mainline yet (I thought I updated the description) but Protos are mostly biological organisms, and so don't actually eat robot food. Hence the alteration. I'm trying to be faithful to a degree to their ostensible 'lore'. But yea, Robot food is *technically* not on the table anymore.

First and only issue so far (Which I believe you said wasn't your fault?) is that robot food is still not edible. The funny thing about this, the whole reason I'm mentioning this:
Because eating inedible food causes poison, and Protogens are IMMUNE to poison, this TECHNICALLY means that it IS edible which I think is actually pretty funny.

@KirbyFreak In *theory* once the item goes live again, it should work now. I fixed that issue with the load order, I think - and tweaked what stats I could to get other things like the jump height working.

Frankly, it's not terribly well documented even on Sayter's actual templates, so if it's not working - that probably carries into the mainline patch I've done as well. And... well, I can't fix what I don't understand xD

Give it a go at any rate, I hope it works for you. If not... unfortunately that's sort of beyond my abilities to fix, but I appreciate your giving it a go.

Thank you so much for the support. I kind of thought the RAM was not you(...?) but since I wasn't sure if the proto-weapons were actually doing more damage (I had to do math with 7 and 1.15% at night ew I'm not doing that without a fully functioning brain) and since the "Protogen have base armor!" was not working, I knew that it was just using FR's base stats which was sad.

The worst part is I'll probably make a new world just in case so I don't break anything which is kind of sad but hey I haven't finished the Kitsune world I just wanted to test out the mod earlier rather than later. I hope you're getting a good night's sleep and seriously, thank you so much for this.

Update: Think I found it. The fucking metadata file was the one intended for FU, hence, not properly adjusting the mod loading order. FR had 'official' integration for the protos, but the stats are radically different from the ones I set up.

So if my mod loads in before that, *it* is the one getting overwritten. If I were a betting man, I expect that'd be the one. A few other small adjustments to make and I'll try pushing that version later tomorrow (today?).

Something you can try in the interim: on the tricorder, go to 'advanced stats' and see if radioactivity resistance (default values) is + or -. If it's positive, it's because the much more limited FR protogen is loading in over my mod. Anyway, I think that might do the job. No promises though.

I'll try downloading FR in steam so I can unpack it and take a look at the .species files as they are in the steam version - but I can't actually run it without breaking my game. I'll take a look at it, but I honestly can't promise.

Re: Protogen RAM crash : The protoram thing is a known issue with the Protogen Race mod, entirely separate from anything I've done. I don't recall if they've fixed that yet. In any case, that specific one is outside my purview.

I'll try unpacking FR from steam and see how their species files are done up, perhaps that would offer insight. If not... well, all I can say is I tried. Not like I oversold what I can do or where I'm coming from - it truly was something I put together on a whim. Sorry if that ends up being a waste of time for you, but hopefully I can figure things out if there are things to be figured out.

@KirbyFreak Upon doing some testing with the patch - it does appear to work, at least in FU. I am seeing some changed stats and while I think the robot food thing was an oversight, raw meat is just fine. I'll take another look at the FR github and the version on steam, but it's distinctly possible there's either an issue with the mods you're using, or it may just not be compatible.

Lamentably, to install FR, I'd need to remove FU, and that is a universe-file breaking action, in other words: I'd have to do it with a clean slate, and I do have my own investment in the game. So it does make debugging a bit of a challenge.

Trying to do that just crashed my game. Sent me back to the title screen. Rip.

Further exploration leads me to believe it just doesn't work at all.

Robo-snax work but no other robotic food works (Figured this out from an early Glitch settlement and eating the robo-plants (Raw) didn't work out well)
There is NOT an immunity to poison, fall damage is not reduced, jump height is not increased to the level that was inteded (Instead it uses the Human stock 1.07 or whatever it is)
Sandstorms still slow me down, Oil still slows me down, just... I don't think it's working. Could be an issue on my side idk.

They CANNOT eat raw meat, apparently, like you say they can. Maybe my other mods just don't work with this mod, but I'm not so sure it works.

Robot food works tho. And I have the lightsaber sword, that does "7.1" damage and does exactly 7 damage (Is it not a Protogen weapon...? Would have thought it would be...)

Let's see, 9 damage would give me an extra 1.5 damage, so 7 damage should... Yeah okay nvm it could still be one
