This is a great idea. The execution was almost how I like it, however the stats are a bit too OP : compared to the heavy laser blaster, the long range Deconst is better in almost every relevant way.
Exceptions are 0.2 extra power/second, 1 CP, -2 pen resist and some HP on the laser part itself, and the components are different (laser costs no supercoils but more of the rest).
The other 9 stats (including crew, DPS, projectile stats, room size, roof-mounted) are better in Deconst HR. Is there a chance you might tweak it a bit?

One of the should be displayed as deprecated.
In my initial release i made a mistake with the internal IDs.
This is now fixed. The problem is that i have to keep the old ID active while it's still in use, otherwise the game will crash.
So please, check the interior or blueprint view and exchange the component with the label "Deprecated". Thanks.

since you made the latest uupdate there r 2more deconstructer (normal and hr). but i dont see any difference to the deconstructer we had before. is that a mistake or r the stats wrong displayed?

i saw added a new one for longer distance. thats really nice but can i still do the origial purpose with it (mining resources). have feeling that it hardly do any dmg.

the deconstructor laser does not aim at all for wreckages, this cant be intended

Well, I use the laser more as a scrapping laser, since I prefer a greater distance in combat. But the laser does not automatically fire at wreckers. That means I always have to manually target the wreckage, which is quite annoying.

I would like the laser to behave like the mining laser, which also automatically fires at wreckage when you mark it for mining.

the 50 meter range version is super fun. built a ramming ship and just face hugged enemies all day.

Unfortunately, the laser does not fire on wrecks unless I do it manually. Is it possible to add that? This is actually the main reason for use, in combat I rarely get into a range that allows the use of this weapon. :)

I see where you're coming from but the main intention was high risk high reward, hence the drop of resources.

I'll create a second weapon (within this mod) with your specifications for you to play around with. :steamthumbsup:

50 tiles of distance is really, really hard for small ships to pull off - they already get creamed by most big ship weapons. Maybe make it much longer than the mining beam, and better tracking speed, but with lower firing speed? That way small ships with these can do strafing runs to try disabling enemy ships, but have to be careful not to wait in place too long.

I removed the extra dmg vs asteroids. It was intended to be a fun tool for small and nimble ships to dig into bigger ships. Since it is quite strong the range was the drawback for this power.

Still i'm open for feedback.

50 m is really short. my current mining has 400m (still the standard version with help of a little mod ^^). but ofc you get an abo from me. i test all new ship parts if it fits for my star destroyer ^^
