I'm trying to use the "Flags required/forbidden" feature to display a message like “Train is approaching” at a station, only when a train is nearby. I’ve tested flags such as Incoming, Filling, and Loading on buildings, and TrafficStart, StopAll, and CrossingStart on adjacent segments, but no setup seems to work reliably.

Either the text is always visible or never appears. Setting many flags to green (required) seems to prevent the message entirely, perhaps because all conditions must be true at once.

Is there a recommended way to detect a train approaching or arriving using flags in Write Everywhere? Or are there technical limitations that make such dynamic detection impossible?

Any guidance or documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so this was working fine until I uninstalled and reinstalled TLM due to another issue, and now all my vehicle designations are all changed. For example, instead of the proper destination showing on the screen, it keeps displaying some random stop in between on some lines. No amount of tinkering I tried could fix it. I wish we could select a designated starting point as well as a designated end point for a line.
Also when i checked WE settings, under mod connections it says T. Lines Manager is Not connected even though I installed and enabled it.

also whenever I used this mod the game gets extremely laggy and the memory usage maxes out on my computer

I am using Vehicle Skins for my buses. When I want to add texts using this mod it doesn't show anything if the skin is active, it only works with DEFAULT skins.

The frame (box around background) that I created disappeared whenever I zoom out a little bit. Any clues why?

Does anyone know if anyone has written a tutorial for placing route markers on the surface of a freeway?

(I'm currently working on figuring out the process, but I haven't had much luck. If I do figure it out and no guide exists, I'll write a guide myself. But I'm not even near that yet.)

@Klyte45 could you implement the same fix with flicker and invisible vehicles to the older replacement of this mod Write The Signs? Write Everywhere is still a relatively new beta mod, it has bugs that make it hard for me to use it (incompatibility with AN, very long loading game). WTS was more stable for me and didn’t have the bugs I menton, so I wouldn’t want to abandon it yet. I think other players may have the same problem as me.

I get the same issue as @whiter.rober, vehicles flicker constantly and are sometimes invisible; this mod is definitely NOT compatible with Financial Districts.

I don't know how to help, but I was in obligation to disable this mod, I don't understand why because it was running well before... My config is with approx 45 different mods, all validated by compatibility checker, with load screen and load order, and no coming from the avoid list ;) I've no clue where the problem is coming from.
I've configured only two different vehicles models (one bus and one tram) but all vehicles are flashing on my screen (disappearing and reappearing very quickly), sometimes zoom cause crashes, other Sometimes, it's only a part of the vehicles which disappears. Anyway, after a while, the game crash or at least, I cannot really play :(

It can be both static or destinations. For destinations you need Improved Transport Manager - it will display the name of the closest stop marked as Terminus in IPT.

I kinda figured it out but not well enough to provide instructions, lol. You just have to plan to not play the game and spend time tinkering with all of the options until you start seeing something. I was able to add destination displays on my buses. Maybe ill try to do highway signs next

This looks super awesome but super complicated, and placing road signs in a city might take a really long time.

Maybe in the future there could be a way to auto-generate street signs and highway enter/exit signs based on the street/highway name system in the game? (I'm sorry I could never write such a mod, but if you are looking for ideas, please take this one.)

Also using the new ITM too now so that may have switched around the settings with the terminal being displayed as a destination.

Same with what @StarrWulfe said. I did had some lines setup with the old WTS mod, but now my route and destination signs changed to the default like line 11 instead of bus line 1B like I had before.

@Jacky Someday it may be possible with Prop Switcher and Write Everywhere, but not available now
@ArchTeryx The issue you are experiencing seems to be a bug. I recommend you to open an issue in the github repository with all logs attached to this get checked

About guides, I was very busy these days rewriting this and other mods, so no time to write or record anything. I have some stuff to do until december update so I can't provide it now... I hope community could help with it by exploring the mod features

Question: Is there a guide anywhere to how to start out with this set of mods? I am an old PO user and gave them a whirl, but couldn't made heads nor tails out of exactly how it was set up or what the steps were, say, in replacing a billboard on a building.

Worse it seems to grind the game almost to a complete halt - FPS falls below 1 and everything becomes terribly laggy. I figure I must be doing SOMETHING wrong, but what?

Hi Klyte45, thanks a lot for the mod. I really like it!! All your mods would deserve an official DLC.

I have tried the mod, and it works fine, except that I am not able to select any game variable. I just see //var in the right textbox, without anything in the left one. I have TLM, VS and the one for additional variables. Do you know what could be the problem? Thanks!!

While PO is great when putting together static signs, Write Everywhere, just like the former Write the Signs does so much PO wasn't designed to do. Does your bus or tram display downtown Chicago as its permanent next destination and kill your immersion in the process? Use this mod to get your bus to display its actual next stop. Do you want to put together an animated ad or sign specific to your city? Use this mod to make the animation.

I think the two mods complement each other well when you want to do finely detailed customization.

Just completed my first road sign with this... This really is a cool tool but it has a bit of a learning curve to it. Can't wait to see what some people create with this on youtube in the next few weeks. Gonna be a hit for sure. This will not be an easy tool for most of us to master at first. But once you do, it's gonna really make customizing cities great.

@Calderon The road segment for me did work so you may have a mod conflict.

In my opinion, I would rather use PO/Procedural Objects, but the new update will probaly break the mod. So this is the alternate mod.

Great job, it definitly simplifies usage compared to Write the Signs !
I'd like however to report two issues I'm having with the mod:
- The segment selection does'nt work (I can't select anything)
- When I want to select a game stat variable for parametrized text, nothing show up in the list and therefore I can't select any variable
Note that I use TLM and Vehicle Skins
I hope this may help you to fix issues for a future update !
