Apologies for the silence on this map, I lost motivation for mapping for a bit, but I'll probably work on this again soon. However, I'm currently occupied with HL2 modding as I generally find it more interesting.

@Apex If you know the map "Depot [HL2RP]", you Should use the model of the submarine. It would be a good base. You should also add atmospheric sounds like wind and add the ship wrecks from Half Life 2: Lost Coast.

Also, the fabric over the central building is only textured from the bottom, so it's invisible on top

Hey great start, but there are a few small things that I think would make this map much better. First, GMod maps are really pretty small -- consider adding more/larger dunes to make each the space feel bigger. Less detailed or flat terrain makes you always painfully aware of the edges. The same goes for fog/dust, which adds a lot of depth to more distant objects that normally feel flat in source. This is honestly the most important one. Check out gm_betaworkshl2 for a great example on how much bigger and more dynamic it can make the space feel. FWIW, having more terrain in the middle map makes the edges much easier to find, as well. Keep it up!
