Could you add this as a wargoal in an already started diplo play? Like say I start a "Conquer State" play against Guatemala and Colombia joins, right now I can't add a wargoal to small annex colombia, there's only the diplomatic play initiator.

Also which number should I change to modify infamy cost? I don't want Great Britain annexing Great Qing and only getting 75 infamy

@KaiRei the base game calculates all the infamy incurred for any diplomatic play and its based on state population and the multiplier of the wargoal type in defines, which in base game for country annexation is times 5 on top of whatever country rank infamy generation bonus or reduction. I don't change these values at all in Total Annexation though

load order doesn't actually matter as much as file name. In victoria 3 file names determine what gets loaded last no matter the load order. On another note, theres a bug in vic 3 multiplayer which will cause you to not be able to play together even if your checksum is the same, It seems to be somewhat random just like in ck3 though.

would it be possible to make a "release as puppet" war goal that puppets a released nation? (e.g. manchuria) Could do it via event if the war system doesn't let you.

@Tiggybum load order is very important in vic3 if your load order is different it may cause different checksums due to mods having files that may overwrite one another, if your checksums were different it was also possible one of the other mods in your list had updated and one of you had a different version, unsubscribing and resubscribing can fix that

A friend and I were testing mods to see what kept giving us an error message - basically it was telling us our mod sets were different and we singled out this mod as the one causing problems.

1. Multiplayer game is not visible to him
2. Inviting him gives an error message stating that we have different mod sets

This is the same issue with Victorian Flavour as well and we tested both separate from one another

The mods currently we have in the play set is:
1. Aneebs Ai revision mod
2. Friendly Construction
3. Total Annexation

@ab12848 my guess is either that mod probably changes something then with the localization of the files, I would report it to the mod author and see if its on there mod because total annexation doesn't do anything other than create a diplomatic plays and gamerules for the new plays. Everything else is untouched. I'll still look and see if its a vanilla file causing it and see if I can fix it or revert it to 1.0.6 though

@Zom With the mod unofficial bug fixes and tweaks it doesnt show infamy cost for annexation(which is 0), this problem didnt happen before 1.1

@rubish 1 Total Annexation doesn't change anything for the costs of wargoals whether it be infamy, maneuvers, or incidents. Some of these things like infamy are partially hardcoded or in files that are not touched by total annexation as well, I would not know what is causing it if you are running other mods or if it is something odd from the 1.1 update but even on larger annexations I have seen the infamy can go up to 350+ for an annexation. If it is somehow showing that there is 0 cost then I think that may be something hardcoded thats not calculating correctly for whatever reason

@Life is Comedy war goals are hard coded unfortunately, I haven't found a way to work around that yet that wouldn't require a more complicated system behind it via events or something like that. Which isn't something I really want to work on or think is really something that would fall under this mod, as its supposed to be super simple. If you would want to add me on discord FloorIsGround#0171 to send me some examples of what happened in your game I could try to see if its something I can fix or prevent.

I haven't delved to deep into the mechanics for war goal completion for ticking war exhaustion in game, if a country is occupied at all I believe it should increase the ticking war exhaustion, but I may have overlooked if that was working or not

The war goal seems to bug out when target is not war leader as the game will not recognize that the war goal has been completed (0% war goal completion) nor will it accept the capitulation of said target.

Admitteldy coulf be a consequence that something similar can happen with conquer state.

War in this game... just a mess...

Have you found out if war goals are not hardcoded ? Couldnt find them.

@BadMap they do cost infamy, an annexation through a diplomatic play will incur infamy costs for every state "conquered" in this case because that's how the country annex wargoal's infamy is calculated by default. It's essentially the same infamy as setting a conquer state wargoal on every individual state.

@Silver Crescent I'm currently looking into the possibility of being able to annex a region however it will probably require a lot of work around since custom war goals aren't possible
