Look for the multiplying worms. Try the sharpshooter's multishot ability together with that beautiful "Function: Load" augment from the Empirio Armani mod in the same mod pack as this one ;)
Multiply and Survive. Each duplicate can drop a piece of jade to unlock a square on the helix. Got around 80 in one room and you can easily get more.
I'm disappointed in the author for not adding a final Jade Helix fight with some sicc loot reward or some narrative after completely unlocking the Helix, though.
Some of the rewards from the Helix are absolutely insane; others are worse than a mithril chunk. Can recommend starting with the top left corner room
I've also increased the drop chance for crafting materials as loot for winning a fight in the Jade Helix, but the chance remains fairly low.
I think Whistlestone can drop as a reward in Jade Helix already, but I could be wrong.
But yeah. I’m looking at adding those crafting resources to some of my repeatable non-class mods. I haven’t decided on the exact implementation or drop chance just yet though. I should be able to update some of the mods with any changes I make this evening or into the weekend.
In the meantime, if you haven’t cleared all of Shallow Graves, you may want to do that. There’s a fair amount of rare resources available in the later game
tombs.
Book of Thieves was one heck of a content piece, with the new kid even earning a spot on my seasoned shore team. The Sea Below was absolutely *ruthless*, and the reward for me was not the items won but the weak strategies I was forced to examine and refine.
All of your mods feel more or less native to the game, and none of them feel like a "small" addition. Hundreds of hours of work (likely more!) are on full display here, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to freely enjoy the fruit of your labor - from the journal entries and NPC dialogue to the weapon balancing and class variety, everything has a level of polish you don't usually see in the modding community. What few bugs there appear to be are either insignificant or immediately addressed by you.
Thank you for the journey, Prominence.
That said, I absolutely LOVE the Jade Helix idea, execution, and the starting difficulty
If you want to try save editing, BACK UP YOUR SAVES. You can find them in AppData > Roaming > BoatTactics > Saves. Access your save's folder. You'll need a zip opener. Open the saveData.txt file. Then use CTRL+F to find z_jh_main, the main Jade Helix location. Then remove its discoverable_fReq line. I'm not very experienced in save editing, so I can't offer too much in the way of specifics. But it could be worth a shot. Please back up your saves first.
Unsubscribing causes a crash to desktop, and resubscribing replicates the issue I described below. Do you have any other ideas?
The keystones can be sold for a pretty generous amount.
The max jadevar is 200. I would use setGlobalVar jh_jadevar 200
And may I suggest adding a way to exchange keystone with some other items after finish helix grid?
PS: I am looking for a way to set jadevar to correct max value, my current jadevar is approximately 2 times of its max value, for I forget main area two times and insert a lot keystones.
I do have 7309 combat fame, so I that shouldn't be it. For reference, I have quite a few mods, most of which are yours:
Head Plus, the Dancers of Port Du Vent, Super Gusts, Shallow Graves, Royal Classes, Bloodstone, Nightingale, Book of Thieves, Mummy Dust, Class Academy, The Sea Below (excellent work!), and Jade Helix, in that order from top to bottom.
Looking forward to enjoying this one, especially repeatable engagements with no wait time!

Again, remember to use the refreshStatModifiers console command as well, otherwise the changes won't show up right away.
So for those console commands, you'll want to open the console (shift ~) and type the following, then press enter:
modGlobalVar skill_Wind_bonus 1
Then, you'll want to use another console command immediately afterward:
refreshStatModifiers
Do this for each one that you unlock, changing the skill_Wind_bonus to each relevant stat.
Elemental Skills (didn't include ruin and wind here, because wind is up above and you have gotten ruin to work):
[*] skill_Life_bonus
[*] skill_Ice_bonus
[*] skill_Fire_bonus
[*] skill_Elec_bonus

Then press enter. That should work, but you’ll have to find more keystones. You can also add them with build mode. Open the console again, type b, press enter. Jade Keystones are in the mechanisms tab. The tools tab is where you’ll find ironice.
The journal entry will be an easy fix.
Biting Bracelet don't have a journal entry.
