DOES THIS STILL WORK

Found it :)

I have yet another question. I can see the mod and everything, but I can not identify the part where you add the manuals. I see the path progress every month and the Mind Power, but where are the manuals added?

OK lets see. I am using a Linux machine so things were bit complicated but I found the steam mod folder. I hope I can modify the mod a little bit. Thanks a lot Skkar! Keep up the good work!

@NeverDieAlone The only mod I edited from another author used a .xlsx (Excel) file, but you can try that here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/1468810/discussions/0/3544924290416924385/

@Sakkar how do I modify an installed mod?
Skkar  [author] 4 Dec, 2023 @ 4:44pm
@NeverDieAlone i used the mod creator and left it open source, so anyone who wants can modify it to their liking.

@Sakkar, thanks for the response, finally it worked, or better I understand now the mechanics needed to have my skills etc. on a level lower then then one I just broke through.

One question though, I like the idea to get new manuals and stuff, but the other destinies that come with it seem to OP, could you make it so that you can chose if you want to play with those destinies?

Actually what I would like to do is to have Destiny (Nurture) that provides me all the manuals for the schools of choice at any point. I just could not figure out how to do it with the given options in the game mod creator.

Did you do it all with the mod creator or did you write the code? If so, is it possible to see the code? I haven not modded anything so far, but I know how to code. Also I liked a lot what you did here, I just would like to adjust it a little bit to not be too overpowered all the time.

@NeverDieAlone the requirements to appear again are:
-> 50 points in any martial/spiritual stat;
-> Not having chosen any path;
-> Walk on the map when a new month begins.
If all the requirements were met and it didn't appear, a game update probably broke the mod.
Important: You can only have one path per character.

@Skkar the mod activated only once for me when I cultivated in the starting region, then not anymore since then.

Right. I checked out the mod tool myself, and looking at the ways you can customize destinies out of curiosity. Now looking at how little you can add to make it stand out combat-wise it does make sense why you'd wanna add that instead of only combinations %increases to atk, def vit and so on. I do hope the devs add more depth to the modding tool at some point. Anyways, thanks for the reply! And keep up the good work.

The only ones that give atk per month are "Spear Path", "Fist Path" and "Finger Path". These are purposefully focused on attack, being the "Spear Path" only to deal damage and have no other advantages such as increased health or defense.

Absolute brainfart on my previous comment. To clarify: I chose the fist path and I found the atk gain per month to be a little strong in the early stages of the game. I don't really wanna walk around with 70 atk before foundation just by waiting around. In general I think stats per month is a bit cheaty. Hope that makes more sense than my previous comment.

I really like this mod except that it feels a bit cheaty. The biggest culprit to this, in my opinion, is the monthly ATK gain. It makes the earlier stages of the game feel way too easy for me. A version with more subdued bonuses would be highly appreciated. Otherwise: Great stuff!

ahh okay that explains it

It's probably the other mod I made (The Path of Alchemy - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890576830) that is preventing you from advancing in cultivation, you have to advance to the next level of alchemist to be able to continue cultivating, read the description of the mod that says the requirements for each rank.

Im relatively certain that either this mod, or this mod clashing with a mod I had, but as soon as I cultivated in the world by accident it started glitching my energy? Like my cultivation would never raise anymore because itd say its maxed out, even though I didnt have the opprotunity to breakthrough because I was not actually maxed out, and trying to get any energy from cultivation wouldnt work

Probably a conflict, but still somehthing to think on. Couldnt get past golden core because of that issue
