@k4far Its legacy version for older game version, if it crashes, you are using it on wrong game version, download the other version which is linked in both description and comments.

Currently don't have access to my PC just yet. In comments below was guide how to fix it for newest version,
By going to hard drive where game is installed steam/steamapps/workshop/content/id**/2889662431/bin/Win64_Shipping_Client and remove GapFix.dll then go to steam/steamapps/workshop/content/id**/2889662431 edit SubModule.xml with notepad and remove this code:

<SubModuleClassType value="GapFix.Main"/>
<Tags>
</Tags>
</SubModule>
</SubModules>
Than save. It will now work corretly. Devs finally fixed the main cause of 2 bugs, some are still present but my mod attempts to fix it while it is fixed and it cant, because it tries to access code that doesnt exist so it crashes.

Follow instruction in comments below to remove the .dll, this mod is made for version before that, as main cause of weapon gap was fixed in 1.1.6.

Crashes on startup on 1.1.6 with no other mods except for Harmony, UIExtenderEX, ButterLib, and Mod Configuration Menu. I verified integrity of game files and it still crashes.

hmm, not sure since I'm still seeing it remove the modifiers after I tried doing it un-modded, that and apparently they had fixed that in the 1.2 beta according to the changelog

It will work for all versions, even early access 1.7 up to current release. For current beta you have to remove GapFix.dll from the mod and to the xml edit I provided earlier and it will work then.

It does work for 1.1.6 and I don't think it fixes the stat problem, thought I never encountered it in my game. Are you sure that this bug is not caused by some mod? Because when I create legendary weapon, and craft it, stats are the same for when it was crafted and after relaunching the game.

question, does this work on 1.1.6 and if so does it also fix the problem of weapon stats being deleted if say you've made a legendary weapon?

because it is not made for latest beta yet, it has been discussed.
I can't update it for 1.2.3 yet because most people are NOT on beta. And if i update it to beta, it will break non beta game instead.

Most mods generally aren't made for beta, because it is unstable and most prerequisites can take even whole week to upload.

That would require redoing all 3d models of affected weapons or finding some other hacky wayt to fix it.

Does this fix sword handles? It seems every time I make a sword (or even use a native sword) my character is either holding the sword with his hand inside the crossguard or holding it way too low on the handle.

Devs already fixed that bug but it is not in the hotfix and instead will be be part of the next big patch. No idea when that will be.

Nice mod, could it also fix smithing stats bug? When after reload your made masterpiece weapons stats are set back to normal?

They did fix ONE of the bugs that cause weapon gap, without this mod, most axes and maces will have a gap, there will be a lot of floating pommels etc. Check mod description for new meshes and xml edits to see list of fixed parts.

I am currently playing beta, without any mods, and it seems like they have fixed the gap issue. The only bug remaining is that saved blueprints will revert the size of the blade back to the default.

I checked it on 1.1.0 and it works fine, they did fix one of the bugs so if you have my mod it will simply apply the same fix again, it does not cause crashes for me. Weapons appear to have correct length.

Does any of you got any issues/glitches with current fix?

It is advised to not update to beta as they fixed 1 of 3 bugs that caused weapon gap but not all. Harmony right now will crash on launch unless you use butloader. Plenty other mods need to be recompiled, expect Update from me in 1-2 days.

You are right, the gap is still there.
Isn't anymore in the Smithy, but is still on the battle field!
Re-downloading your mod !
