It's been a while, but I noticed I can't sell from my genebanks, any chance a tweak/update can be made to allow this?

All of a sudden rimpy says this mod is the wrong version (I'm on 1.4, as many people are who wait on Combat Extended to update)

I've put an update on to amend the tag of the mod to show as 1.5. I'll look into why traders can't see the genepacks stored in the banks

How does filer on gene bank works? When I deselect "Allow all genepacks", how do I specify which to allow?

there's a mod called "Random's Gene Assistant", and it has a checkbox allowing you to sell from a genebank directly. unfortunately, the buildings in this mod arent recognized as "genebanks" and so arent showing their contents to a seller. any chance a tweak could be made?

I think i know why some of my gene banks were overfilled, when I got the Split Genepack mod I had not jet adjusted Ogrestack which resulted in bugged genepacks with no genes, I just extracted all on some banks and noticed those packs didn't show up when banked but increased the counter

thanks, I've gotten used to the mod and I think it works pretty well, I was originally looking for something that would have the same features as 4 vanilla banks and the size of one, but even so, I think a lot of people will appreciate the option to set the price and power consumption

I'm using the Split Genepack mod along with it, maybe that helps. If that doesn't cause it i'm not sure.

@G-Fiti I haven't seen them overfill before, but I'll see if I can replicate it

@titititi ill look into seeing if I can add mod settings for the gene banks

@Fralee I'll look into the source code I think I've seen it with other gene bank mods that there are issues with traders not seeing contents in gene banks of their def name is not equal to gene bank

Someone had posted in the discussions part that you cant trade anything that is in the new gene banks even if there is a beacon nearby

Is this something that can be added ?

Well anyone who can't find the large gene bank there's an icon when you click on the gene assembler to build it instead of a traditional build slot.

Only half works for me, don't have the large gene bank, but the upgrade from 4 to 8 on the banks worked.

Just wanted to say that that I love this mod and won't play biotech without it!

For everyone commenting about the trading thing, I've just placed a stockpile zone with Critical priority + trade beacon right next to the gene banks, ejected all genepacks (after disallowing use), haul urgently to the stockpile, then they show up to trade. Can then "allow" the banks again to have them all reloaded. :)

It looks like the new banks do not allow traders to see their contents, unlike vanilla gene banks.

@Taylor7500, thanks for the bug report. I've looked into it and just to confirm is this when toggling the "all gene packs?" In the gene bank? I've replicated the issue with my mod disabled and it seems like an issue with Alpha Genes where the gene bank isn't configured to store Alpha Packs and Mixed Packs. It seems to work when placing down a gene bank for the first time.

Bug report: This mod appears to have compatibility issues with Alpha Genes - AG genepacks and mixedpacks do not appear on the pack selection menu for my genebanks with this mod installed.

Thank you for the feedback Ozark! :) I updated the mod yesterday so that all of the three different gene bank buildings can be selected from a drop down menu!

Yeah. I'll add a request for having all three sizes on one build-menu square as well. I have no idea how hard that is to do, but it would be nice. Also good mod. Simple and needed. :)

Thank you again for the feedback Jarin! As requested, I have now updated it so that the medium, small and large gene bank can be selected from a drop-down.

I'm not sure about the issue with small gene bank but I'll see if I can replicate the issue.

Ok, looks like they work great! Only weirdness I ran into was with the small gene bank where my haulers preferred to drop in a normal priority stockpile instead of the bank, but that could easily be hauler-logic weirdness from another mod or even vanilla.

My only request would be getting the three sizes on a single build-menu square with a drop-down, but that's very much a matter of personal preference, not functionality. Thanks again!

Thank you for the feedback Jarin! I have just updated the mod to have a name (forgot to include it in the about file) and you can now link the two new buildings to the gene assembler.

Ok, on further testing, the large and small gene banks do not appear to actually link to the gene assembler.

Great mod! Seems like it's missing a few pieces of modding housekeeping though. The "Name" is the same as the packageID for tracking "lowli.genebankplus" and in-game, it doesn't even list that, just "Workshop mod 2889919154"
